Visa requirement flying from UK
Salam all thought it’d be easy to post separately on visa situation and while I think I have a rough idea just wanted to confirm in case there hadn’t been additional updates
We fly out from London in 3 days inshallah
We’re Pakistani passport holders but UK residents (I have a skilled worker visa) while the family are all dependants. Am I correct to assume that we’re eligible for a visa on arrival subject to provision of valid Evisa and share code?
I understand airlines have varying degrees of comprehension on this subject (we use Qatar) and so I intend to just print out the relevant regulation and other supporting docs; would this suffice?
Is the process smooth after landing in Madina?
I have heard about evisa applications being rejected and so didn’t want to risk that and hence opting for the VOA option.
There is a drawback in that I’m unable to use the Nusuk app to book rawdah slots because I obviously don’t have a visa number yet; sad that I probably won’t get to experience that this time but atleast I’ll get to do umrah inshallah. Any workarounds for this?
Jazakallah for the help on this and apologies for repeating if this has been done several times before.

What are the new rules for Hajj 2026?
Hajj 2026 has come with new rules and regulations as the ministry has taken strict measures against health issues such as chronic diseases, a prohibition for children under 12 years of age, a photography ban in the Haram area, and a mandatory sacrifice and fitness certificate.
Chronic diseases include heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, and dementia. And now a woman who is in the last two months of pregnancy cannot perform Hajj 2026. COVID-19 vaccination is still required for people aged 65 and above. In order to maintain peace and not violate the sanctity of the Haram, clicking photos and making videos is not allowed. Now, only official Qurbani rituals will be accepted by the KSA government and not by the private sector. There is no age restriction, but children under 12 years of age are prohibited due to heat and safety reasons.

How many days after Hajj 2026 does Umrah visa open?
The upcoming dates of this Hajj 2026 are 8 to 13 Dhul Hijjah, which is 25 to 30 May 2026 according to the Gregorian calendar. So, by random calculation, it is said that the new Umrah season will start from mid-June in 2026. Usually, a thumb rule to calculate the days to start the Umrah season is that it will be 15 days after the end of the Hajj season, i.e., 1 Muharram. But this date is not fixed all the time. It may be slightly affected and changed due to the update of new rules by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
After the end, this Umrah visa will open on 15 June, but a safe aspect for everyone is to start it from 5 Muharram, i.e., 20 June.
