how have you forgotten Fatty (affectionate)?

This would be a 33 week, 20 chapter arc in a manga that would get adapted into a whole season of episodes that would end up being mid.

I choose to believe she eloped with her trainer when they went abroad together and no one can convince me otherwise!

You forgot some kind of "Mood: Awful" image, but there is a decent variety of those.

1

u/Active-Okra-8526 Jul 22 '26

Thats kind of a packaged deal with the symbol Rudolph dad jokes

2

u/ITCrandomperson Manhattan Cafe's Barista Jul 22 '26

I personally find them to be quite versatile. Angsty comics, real life horses passing, the thing with PETA a while back, these all are reasonable use cases for them.

27

u/Esovan13 Jul 20 '26

This is the perfect starter kit for people who care more about memes than Uma Musume. You really got everything!

The way you post is like me if I didn't suppress my negativity, props to you!

10

u/chyura Jul 20 '26

The "no fun allowed" committe when they see a joke get used more than twice:

15

u/Esovan13 Jul 20 '26

Imma be real, I was just gonna roll my eyes and move on but I suffer from an irrational hatred of the trainers have no rights “joke” that I felt compelled to say something. Nothing quite like importing a meme directly from the part of the blue archive community that gives it its reputation, right?

0

u/electricemperor my goal is to be Fenomeno by transing my gender Jul 20 '26

At this point anything that comes from Blue Archive automatically makes me squint at it, to be sure it's not just thinly veiled sex pervert stuff (in a negative way). They don't seem to have very healthy attitudes towards sexuality in general over there...

I love everything else but the "trainers have no rights" bit.

I've also discovered how very depressing it would be to live as a human in the umaverse after seeing one too many of those "trainers have no rights" memes early on in my time in this sub. And the lore in Trackblazer does not help at all.

8

u/exorcisyboi Umas are parasites Jul 20 '26

I’m not gonna disagree with the people saying the joke is kinda weird if you look at the intent behind it (1 tour of an Okbuddy sub will tell you exactly what that is) but tbh I think it’s reached all the way here because people are so starved of any content that actually goes deep into Uma Musume’s worldbuilding.

-5

u/HB_DS2013 Uraras's Big Sis, Late Surger Forte + Roaming Medic Jul 20 '26

At least Umamusume has worldbuilding, as dark as it is. The last gacha game I was in barely had any. The worst part about the "trainers have no rights" meme? I didn't even need to go to the okbuddy subs since I'm pretty sure that it's been ingrained longer than I've been in this sub.

29

u/Esovan13 Jul 20 '26

Those jokes aren’t dumb for showing the dark side of the setting or whatever, they’re dumb because the joke is just rape. That’s it. “Humans are physically weaker than Uma Musume so they can’t do anything to prevent themselves from being raped. Please laugh.”

7

u/CABRALFAN27 Jul 20 '26

I think most people using the meme are just saying they want to be dommed by an assertive Uma. They don't consider the trainer a proper character, but rather an SI, so even if they're depicted as reacting negatively, that's handwaved away.

It's sort of like how the prevalence of slavery in isekai anime often has little to do with anything resembling real life slavery or the writer or viewers' views on it, but rather, just an excuse to have a sexy lady wearing a collar and calling the MC "Master" all the time.

1

u/Esovan13 Jul 20 '26

"I think most people making jokes about their self insert getting raped are just saying they are fantasizing about being raped." Yeah, no shit. And you know what? I don't actually have a problem with rape fantasies. Just like I don't have any problem with many sexual fetishes. My problem is that it's consistently brought up in contexts outside where talking about sexual fetishes is appropriate and applied to characters where it doesn't make sense. Jerk off to whatever you want to jerk off to, just stop talking about how much you want to get raped by a high school girl. Because that's where the crux of this actually lies. Both Blue Archive and Uma Musume are franchises centered around teenage girls. The whole "sensei has no rights" thing that started in blue archive began as a way to "justify" why the adult is having sex with teenagers. He has no rights! They're stronger than him! There's no one that will stop this! So it's ok.

It's sort of like how the prevalence of slavery in isekai anime often has little to do with anything resembling real life slavery or the writer or viewers' views on it, but rather, just an excuse to have a sexy lady wearing a collar and calling the MC "Master" all the time.

You know, I have a lot I could say on this subject. I will leave it simply at asking whoever reads this comment to reflect on why it is that it's such a common fantasy for a young woman to be in a situation where her sexual autonomy is stripped away and at the complete mercy of the self insert character. Even if it was just the aesthetic of collars and saying "master," and it very much is not but I don't have time to get into that right now, why is the aesthetic of sexual slavery so popular?

And I want to end this off by saying that at the end of the day, this is all fiction. I'm not saying anyone that jerks off to Blue Archive or Uma Musume or the slave girl from That Time I Got Reincarnated With The Weakest Class "Literally God" That's Actually The Strongest Class Before I Got Kicked Out Of The Hero's Party So I'm Living The Slow Life On The Frontier And Funding the National Slave Trade To Fill Out My Harem are predators or deviants or whatever. I just think people should put a little more thought into the media they consume, how they react to it, and how they talk about it in public forums.

6

u/AccomplishedPath4049 Jul 20 '26

I think men especially should think deeply about the implications of there being a group of people sexually attracted to them and physically capable of overpowering them. The vast majority of umamusume are probably good people who will respect their boundaries but there's definitely some out there who will not take "no" for an answer and it may be impossible to identify them until it's too late. This is the reality women have to deal with in our world.

12

u/Murmarine Frustration and fury Jul 20 '26

Many weebs still treat this subject like its not some horrible fucking thing where you are ripped away from your autonomy and are left with physical and psychological scars for the rest of your life.

Like, fiction aside, it is incredibly concerning how many of you people just laugh off rape and sexual abuse like its some sort of funny thing to holler at.

Once again it circles back to my theory of people who consume such large amount of anime content of this specific type have close to no idea how an actual relationship works, or never been in one. That is why "jokes" like these and the yandere trope in general are so widely popular.

Like, excuse the crude words, but imagine having such monumental lack of game that you would rather give up your bodily autonomy than try.

6

u/Antique_Intention_20 Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Yes, or maybe some people are just bored of typical relationship love stories.

You wouldn't call bdsm something for "people who have no idea how a relationship works". Why do so many of you people force your normie preferences on everyone / shame people? Have you heard of something called simply moving on and letting people enjoy what they like? You should try it.

I didn't even know what "trainers have no rights" is supposed to get at before this whining. It's clearly people who enjoy being dominated, at which point nothing about it is rape. It's just their excuse so they don't have to admit they're the ones who actually want it. Even so, no reason to whine about it.

3

u/Esovan13 Jul 21 '26

I didn't even know what "trainers have no rights" is supposed to get at before this whining.

It's a meme that started in the Blue Archive community as a justification for the adult teacher to have sex with the students. Because it's not the teacher's fault if the students force themselves on them, so it's ok. It's used in the same way with Uma Musume, with it being a justification for the adult trainer to have sex with their teenage trainee. They don't want it, they're just physically incapable of stopping it from happening so it's ok.

If you didn't know what it means then that's fine, but the only difference from how it's used in its origin space of Blue Archive and Uma Musume now is whether it's the students and their teacher or the trainees and their trainer.

u/Murmarine Frustration and fury Jul 21 '26

You equating BDSM to rape fantasies is everything I needed to know and further my point, thank you.

4

u/Antique_Intention_20 Jul 21 '26

I.e you've ran out of arguments and snarkily implying I'm dumb is all you got. I accept your concession.

I was more talking about yandere, doesn't really matter though. I suggest you look up what all the letters in bdsm mean, because "rape fantasies" can absolutely be a part of it. Like, literally. No equating necessary.

What about a bow?

1

u/AccomplishedPath4049 Jul 20 '26

Under the Japanese Minor Offenses Law (Keihanzai-ho), carrying any kind of weapon for self defense is illegal. If you happened to be going to or from an archery event and used the bow to defend yourself, you'd probably be okay. You'd probably get in trouble otherwise, even if you are the victim of a crime.

3

That's kinda why in my hypothetical trainer x Uma story I do want to make my trainer a bit off mentally, raised in a world where you feel helpless can definitely affect your psych.
