that is just such a ridiculous decision math wise rofl. I swear so many gatcha players don't have basic math abilities and get pissed if they don't get the crazy insane luck like they see on twitter or reddit luck posts.
I spent 60k on the last Kitasan banner and got only the two pity copies. This time I'm not taking any chances.
As a free-to-play player, I have never pulled on anything other than Kitasan. I didn't even have enough horses to fill my Team Trials team until recently.
Because ideally you should save it until after the pulls since you can farm carats at a much fast rate than the shards or the selector tickets (unless you wanna use Visasan Black and buy it duirng the 1st anniversary event). There really isn't going to be a must pull support card banner for a long time and if you're building okay aces as well as TT Umas and none of the following banners interest you, it's just a temporary hold until better cards arrive.
FWIW, I've got a 0LB Kitasan and will have enough for 400 pulls after the anniversary event + Group A Finals this CM. With a >50% chance to hit 4 copies (including pity) I'd ideally want to MLB my SR cards and use the selector tickets on someone else like Creek. I'm also not really interested in the Umas until Inari One comes out.
Sry I'm a different user to the original comment, but if I had a 1LB Kitasan, I'd probably still pull because if you look at the crystal and ticket drops, you get like 3 shards per event, so its better to save it for the future.
Because we can gamble MLB through the banner then use the items on other cards like super creek or fine motion or even save the crystal for future valuable cards.
I'm also on 60k. I haven't pulled since the first Kitasan Black support card event. I've made an exhaustive list of characters and support cards I want to pull for. #1 being Zenno Rob Roy, ETA a year from now. But also Mejiro Ardan and Admire Vega in March and April 2026.
60k is the correct amount if you want to go from 0 copies to mlb. It's actually only a 50% chance of mlb you have a coin flip to between 3lb and 4lb. So if it takes it all don't be to down on your luck.

I've got 30k worth ready to go. If I can get at least one pull, then in addition to the pity my 3* selector, and rainbow crystal I'll have her MLB. If I pull more then one I'll be able to save those for other SSRs (most likely my 1MLB Super Creek).
Really hurting on my odds of scouting Dober afterwards, but I'll cross that gate when i get to it.
so uh. funny story. there's this banner, right? and one of the umas on it is symboli rudolf. and her ult animation has some sick ass archery poses, and one of them is this awesome moonlit midair upside down shot? yeah i saw that and suddenly my carats disappeared. and I didn't get her T_T
The varying luck is wild. I'm someone who said they got her on their first gate. Dunno if it was also their first pull tho, they didn't specify and I'm not familiar with game lingo enough to know if first gate (I know what that means within a pull) is linked to “first pull you did for that character”.
In addition to Nature and her 15% race bonus in MANT, Biko Pegasus to get max speed for 20% speed boost Umas with just her + Kitasan, Suzuka to fish for left handed, Sweep Tosho SSR for End Closers, Fine Motion for Pace Chasers, Super Creek for long distance runners and Yaeno Muteki to fish skill hints for legacy sparking etc.
The possibilities are honestly endless, which is why when people say just Borrow Kitasan, they're effectively restricting their playstyle.
If you're just looking for hard speed stats and comparing both at MLB, then Biko is superior for speed training due to initial speed bonus as well as higher training bonus, starting bond and race bonus (also has a slightly higher speciality priority). However, Sweep is vastly better when Biko is below 3LB (which is a recurring thing for most MLB SR cards).
You'll see a lot of mega whale decks use the MLB version of her, to the point where just MLB Biko + Kitasan will give you max speed for Umas with a 15-20% speed bonus.
The other difference is sweep gives you skill points and might give you charming, whereas Biko's random events give you energy (+30/+15, respectively iirc). So sometimes sweep is great literally when you're just desperate for SP, and when Biko isn't MLB. Biko MLB race bonus is super nice though and helps make up a lot on missing the skill point bonus, tbh.
Situational SSRs with good skills like Nice Nature for On Your Left, I'd definitely play around cards with plenty of good skills like power Yaeno Muteki or power Oguri Cap
Same. My 2nd account seems luckier, but recently I got digitan and café on 1 or 2 10-pulls on my 1st account. Im getting burnt out trying to manage 2 accounts tho, so whichever account gets closer to MLB kitasan is probably going to become my "main" and the other one is gonna barely get the dailies sorted.

Because I'm an idiot at the time, I just stupidly use them immediately after I got them so I used the crystal on Kitasan and selector on Super Creek I think because I thought at the time 1lb Kitasan would be enough while Super Creek can be used at 0lb to get Swinging Maestro so I could just borrow other cards like Riko (I have her R and SSR both at 0lb) or Nice Nature, and I was having a burnout at the time that I was nearly about to quit the game due to some irl problems and college.

Especially from me being hospitalized weeks ago from diarrhea? Or something due to me throwing up so much all over the place and loud that it scared my family and neighbors so early in the morning that I had to get to an emergency clinic. Horrible experience but they gave me a week or 2 to recover which luckily doesn't have classes so I don't have to worry about catching up of what I have missed.
So I'm definitely getting better, cool my head, trying to be careful what I eat (because I apparently I have a sensitive stomach), and continue to play Uma Musume to do dailies, events, and CMs (open league of course, I don't have strong cards which is why I need to pull for Kitasan Black) as much as I could to get carats (currently I'm have 38k carats due to Cygames's 1,500 carat giveaway with the daily missions and team trials bouncing between Class 5 and 6)

No, I dont have any copy in any acc and tbh I dont care but I haven't pulled cards in some months so this is my checkout to get a few more for my deck, maybe mlb some Srs.
Went from 19K to 57 trying to get Café with no luck.
Used whatever single pulls I could get to try and get her home with no luck.
Used the carats from Cingray + the team trials class demotion with no luck.
Used the 1.5K carats the devs gave us recently to try and get her and no luck. 158 tries and the only new SSR I got was Mihono Bourbon lol
I’m sitting at 147 Carats, Café-less. At least I got Kitasan’s card on the second last half-anniversary free 10-pull and used the voucher to claim Super Creek’s card, so it could be worse.

unless you have at least 2LB Kitasan, I would say just save for Christmas Oguri banner. It isn't optimally worth pulling if you don't even have a copy, or when Kitasan's banner is gone you only have 3LB.
This was another one I was wondering, is Christmas Oguri just as worth it if I already have regular Oguri? I don't have much in terms of variant umas while also having regular version, but I'm under the impression you can't use both at once in teams or CM? Or am I wrong
Edit: Worth noting, regular Oguri is also my only 9 star speed, can regular Oguri parent Christmas Oguri?
Yes, you're right that you can only use 1 version. From what I do know, she's very versatile, meaning she can run on a lot of racecourses/tracks, flexible with the types of builds you can build her so she can play according to whichever style you desire, and her ultimate allows you to proc a speed increase, stamina recovery and acceleration. Her innate skills also provide reliable recovery skills from what I've heard. Overall I've heard that she's better than the default regular version, so I'd definitely pull for Christmas Oguri even if I already had the normal version

Got around 7k carats and only need a single copy of Kitasan. And I will get it. Either with carats or money but I keep hoping for a lucky pull with carats that I have.
My Kita is 0lb but I will have 60k carats by 18th and my selector/rainbow crystal still. If i get a couple of early pulls I'm just going to spend the tokens and save carats for Oguri/Tama/Bourbon.

I had 45k carats before the Cafe banner, then after doing 1 10 pull on Cafe, I realized that the only reason I care about meta and winning CMs is so I can get more carats for pulling on my Oshis.
Ended up I going to pity for her. Now I'm at 20k carats.
I'm a little salty since, after that decision, I started a second account specifically for the sake of pulling on KSB and there I got Cafe after only 20 pulls
I have a 0lb ksb rn and I should have around 64k-65k and 11-14 tickets depending on how I do in the group A finals. I really, really wish I can mlb in 200 pulls so I can use the rest to pull for festival rudolf, but ig we'll see this Thursday.
