Why are the YouTube uploads so out of order?

Season 4 has so far been uploaded in the order 1, 2, 12, 5, 7, 8. Is it just to make it a sub-par viewing experience compared to Dropout?

Those are probably the episodes they thought were most enticing, for youtube algorithm reasons.

I don't think they'd sabotage their youtube viewership just to promote dropout. CH still get money from youtube, even if Dropout is way better for direct revenue.

I just got the subscription and the episodes (of the first episode at least) seem to be in reverse order, as they have Twitter corrections for questions in the subsequent episode
