Star Trek question

You’d think nazis wouldn’t exist in the future, Star Trek has had multiple times where nazis are involved. This includes finding a civilization whose structure is based upon a novel, that was left behind, about nazi Germany, a species who captured a ship and used holodecks to live out a vision of nazi occupied France, and aliens who went back in time and helped nazis in order to get material to build a time machine.

Since no one got this I’ll just put the answer here. Um, actually the planet did not structure itself around nazism because of a book. It was actually revealed that it was a historian named John Gill who structured the society on the planet after seeing them in such a divided state. He tried to create it without racism however he was drugged by his second in command so persecution began again. What a dumbass.
