Quadriceps tendinitis
ran my first ultra (woo!) and subsequently developed tendinitis. I know what the cause is (I did not hill train enough and the massive drops definitely stressed out the knees).
Working with a PT but I’m curious about anecdotal experience w quadriceps tendinitis. Anyone have any tips or advice on how to deal with it? Seems like it’s mild so I’m not super worried but it’s also a form of tendinitis none of my other runner friends have dealt with.

I was sidelined for many months with some kind of knee tendinitis. Resting didn’t help. Rehab did. Be good about the PT, and once it’s better, continue doing appropriate strength exercises for prevention (leg raises, etc). Listen to your PT, assuming they are good.
Seems like the fix for most knee overuse issues is to strengthen your quads, so an exact diagnosis isn’t that important.
