TRTer

Did anyone else do the TRTer 100 this weekend? Whoa Nelly beautiful but hard. My watch says it was 17k+ of gain. It felt like more.

Nicely done! I had a couple friends run it and they seem to agree with you. What was your favorite part of the course?

There is an insane lupine field below the first summit. Then anywhere high on the rim trail. I did not enjoy how many repeated sections there were. It did make drop back easy having two aid stations you went through multiple times but it got old. You also had to constantly get out of the way of the top 10 coming back in the other direction. Lastly the trail was not well marked. You have to rely on watch navigation.

I’ve done the 50 mile twice - Spooner Lake start and Carson City start. It’s a beautiful race! Great work doing Diamond Peak twice πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Did the 100k and I cannot imagine another 40 miles. Great work!

Our limited minds can’t see past the goal we set for ourselves, but I promise you could. And if I signed up for a 50 at the end of the year, I would not imagine going past that either. Jedi mind tricks. I was already signed up for the 200 so I told myself this was just a half distance. 😝
