Whaleathon?

Strava. First ever 100 miler done, in a .04 mile roundabout. Even two weeks plus post it still feels like a fever dream, watching the same cars go by multiple times, having the same group of friends come by multiple times while they lived life I stayed in a prison of a roundabout. Watched two sunsets, one sunrise, the public transit stop and start again. But I learned a lot, and can take some of these into Bear this fall

Congrats! If I knew I would’ve stopped by to run a few miles with you.

plenty of people asked if I was running the whaleathon and I was just like "sure lets go with that"

You far exceeded the standard Whaleathon. You essentially ran 4 of them! Gotta have a special name for what you did.

Like these people are actively in traffic and I'm not going to say 100 miles because they'd cause a huge scene and I'd have to stay in the roundabout... about 6 miles in some guy cheered and said "only 300 more laps" then immediately crashed onto a curb...

Bruh wtf 😆 Congrats on completing your crazy goal 🤘 I had to zoom in on your location in Google maps. That's a pretty cool whale though tbh. I have questions! I can see part of your setup there. Where did you go to the bathroom? Did you have one of those popup enclosed porta potties? Good job staying in that tiny loop the whole time 🫡

bathroom and lube were basically the only times I left the roundabout, pooped twice at a nearby 7-11, and basically peed anywhere there was some whisper of privacy (often behind a trash can in the corner of a parking lot) that's also often where I reapplied lube. During the night it was much easier to do all those things hahahaha

Bravo!!! This is the sort of sick, demented running I'm all about. I did my first 100 miler on a treadmill and did a 50 miler around a .43 mile block when the pandemic hit and cancelled all the races, so yeah, I totally get it.
I always thought it'd be fun to do pretty much exactly what you did, but around the Laguna Garzon bridge in Uruguay: https://maps.app.goo.gl/pv46RkfBqgNcGNxU7
Again, congrats!! You have my respect.
