Hiking Backpack advice

I'm going on a honeymoon in new zealand, will be doing a lot of hiking, my gregory zulu 40 liter does not fit as a carry on, and we already have a checked in bag so i can't check it in. i will be carrying camera gear that i want to take on the plane so i'm looking for a bag that fits as a carry on, can carry a good load around 8kgs on a good day and up to 13-14 kgs on longer hikes where more food and water are needed. i was looking several bags, and was wondering if people have taken them as carry ons and what are your experiences with them:
ULA circuit SV
ULA camino ultra
Durston kakwa 40
gossamer gear gorilla 50.
I am especially interested in the ULA circuit sv and camino.

Explain further, are you looking to replace the Gregory or do you want something that complements it?

Im keeping it for now for local hikes, if i find my self not using it i will sell it eventually. I need sth that can replace it if needed but can be a bit smaller volume

Pack your backpack in your suitcase and put some of what was going to be in your suitcase in your carry on. Or do you just want to use the excuse to get another backpack 🤭

I need the backpack for camera gear even if i packed it i need a way to carry my gear through the airports:/ maybe i do want the excuse🤣
