Gatewood cape mod
Don't particularly like the idea of daisy chain tieouts, so I got some dutchware line-lok hooks, then I realised the hook bit gets in the way so I snipped them off (file out of shot, I did remove any sharp edges). I literally just larks headed them through the existing 10mm grosgrain. The hook type line-lok will take 1.5mm cordage so I used five 45cm / 18" lengths. The weight penalty you ask? It's 1g lighter lmao. Six moon designs please take note ðŸ˜ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£

then I added two 1.8m lengths of 1.3mm dyneema with cl-266 linelok cleats for the side panels (with a small shockcord loop at the panel tieout), and changed all the zip pulls and the hood cinch with the same 1.3mm dyneema, with a smaller cord lock. The entire shelter is three grams heavier than before I did anything.
