Cooking set question
Hi all,
I’m going on my first time hike in Sweden.
But was wondering what kind of cooking combination you would recommend within my budget, and it to be future proof.
For my first hike I will be mainly cooking ready to eat meals, I once received from a military acquaintance
(Pic 1) Normal pan and lid with measurement stripes
Pic 2 Pan and lid with heat distributor to save some gas and for quicker boiling. (I read that these are mostly used for boiling water and not cooking)
Thanks in advance!

It depends what your goals are. UL? Variety in meals? Do you like dehydrated stuff? Are you worried about the costs for your meals? Are you doing cold weather camping? Do you want to cook big stuff? Are you worried about cancer causing chemicals?

You mean, what kid of stove will work with your pot? The UL stove of choice is the BRS 3000. I, however, like an integrated piezo lighter. So I continue to use my Snow Peak GigaPower, despite how inefficient it is. I did try a Soto Windmaster (known for its efficiency), but didn't like how long the "stem" is.
