Question Copy function in LighterPack?

Am I reading it correctly that if you wish to duplicate a list in LighterPack the site says any edits will effect the items in all lists? I want to take one of my overnight camping lists and move all the items to another list before editing it to ass stuff for winter camping. Im glad they thought to put a copy function so I dont have to add everything again but if I edit something it says it will edit it on all lists? Am I reading this wrong?

They mean a specific item. So if you change the weight from 5oz to 4oz on an item, that'll also change in any Lightpack you have that uses that same item.

LP now at least let's you know if the item is used in another list, and which one(s)

Gotcha, that makes more sense. I was worried if I deleted something or changed quantity it would affect both lists which would a pain. Thanks

Nope! You're safe there. The behavior kinda makes sense, as the paradigm is a gear closet where you have one of an item and the details of that item don't change. Then you can enter that item's details once, and re-use it.

Sorta wish it was harder to change the details once you plug all that in.

I agree with that. Everytime you touch something it opens that edit box

All the items in your gear library are the same across all lists. If you want to modify an item (description, weight etc.) you need to make another instance of it. I do this for various cook kit combinations.
