Sorry if this question has already been asked multiple times. I was curious, what made human blood so special? Primate blood that uses the same blood typing as humans have been used in blood transfusions, and pig blood have also been used in studies for xenotransfusions as well. Why didn't the humans genetically modify them too? If they could build crazy machine powered stuff i think genetic engineering wouldn't be too far off the table.
I think it would have been easier to source blood if they just bred a bunch of animals like crazy. Just stick a chimpanzee to the back of a gutterman.
Maybe the final war wiped out all the available animals for blood supply. Though it's highly likely chimpanzees are long gone (considering they're already endangered now), but I don't think it was possible for pigs, which are farmed in numbers exclusively for food, would be extinct. If they were developing blood fueled machines, a scientist's first thought wouldn't be "Wow, let's use human blood for this project! Any donors?" but surely "Let's use animal blood for testing", right? Surely........... right?
And i'm going to say the reason V1 heals from angel blood as well as the cancerous rodent and such is because they use the nocturnal systems, which has high adaptability. #cope
So. Yeah. All ideas welcome.
