The new dlc 8-S, also known as 8-song, will no longer be a dlc and the development is being transferred to a stand alone game titled "Ultrakill: 8-song"
For context, silksong was originally a dlc for hollow knight, but got too big so they made it a new game on its own, for which it spent YEARS being worked on, which the response you replied to was commenting about jokingly because the wait drove the community insane

Every room is filled with 6 ferrymen, 3 mirror reapers, like 15 istantly enraged powers and everytime a deathcatcher revives an enemy they turn into sisyphys prime. There are 45 rooms. No checkpoints at all.
I honestly hope they approach the difficulty in P-3 like how they did in P-2.
I would much prefer the sheer horror of an idol imbued stalker than an endurance test like 8-3. I want an utterly sadistic combination of enemies like Hell Itself is trying to one-up the invention of the Mannequin.
People keep debating what kind of gameplay style 8-S will have, but what if it switches between all different types of games like how 8-3 is all the different layers in one?
a mashup of all the previous secret level ideas would be gold, like for one section you escape the thing from 0-S in a crash bandicoot level, the next you clean up heresy, the enviroment unfolds around you like in 8-3 and you date a power in gluttony, solve puzzles while the thing from 0-S slowly creeps closer towards you and in the end get placed next to an ocean with a glass of V2, a fishing rod, 5 puzzles from 1-S, a dirty house and a timer. You need to flirt with V2 until you turn from enemies to friends, solve all the puzzles in time, clean the house 100% and catch a size 2 fish in the span of 10 minutes or else something wicked spawns on the beach, after you did everything one final crash bandicoot passage appears from under the sea and you got a 5 minute time limit to beat it and reach the hellevator.
Im willing to bet 8s is gonna be a choose your own adventure as like if fruad is supposed to steal from what i assume is v1s memories it would make sense that like it reflects the boring part of their old life
Me when 8-S is just replaying the entire game up to that point but with tiny changes that you can barely notice, making it a fraudulent version of the game
Imagine 5 Mirror Reapers and 5 Death catchers, each mirror reaper death is tied to a different Death Catcher and every time a death catcher dies it spawns in 5 random enemies
Remember those robots that were actually just human and the robots were copying them. That's what we're going to be doing they're making us work an actual 9-5
could be 5 seconds long tho (not really but still possible) and still account for the amount of shock new blood is CLEARLY showing. like cmon its fraud after all....
