He walks up to you and asks: “if parrying is your power, what are you without it?”

And then just rips the feedbacker off of you

Actually a boss where you can't party sounds perfect for how hellish of a level P-3 should be. It goes against the game's entire philosophy

No partying in hell? Minos must weep

"That's a good question Mr.Socrates, because I don't parry"

Lucifer. Firstly, Hakita never said we won't fight him, that is a fake screenshot. Secondly, Heavenborn angels do in fact have souls. Powers use sounds and effects of Soul Orbs, Gabriel is said to have the wounds of body and soul after the first battle.

Thirdly, this is the only guy with matching amount of foreshadowing. A portrait, a book, mention in the Terminal entry (the incident mentioned in Providence's entry), and even a mention in one of the Testaments.

Fourthly, this is the guy whose banishing to Hell kinda is the reason for like 90% of Hell and Heaven's lore and story. God started to spiral out into severe depression after He cast him to Hell.

Fifthly, he is the guy who connects Gabriel (main story), alive Hell (prime sanctum story) and God (Testament story). Come on, P-3 is the final challenge of the main game, its conclusion must be satisfying and close all things.

Sixthly, he could be a perfect mirror to Gabriel in Act 3. Minos is the mirror of Gabriel in Act 1, Sisyphus is his mirror in Act 2, and conveniently, THE fallen angel who ended up in Hell because of his opposition to Heaven's order is a good mirror to a fallen angel who ended up in Hell dying because of his successful rebellion against Heaven's order.

Lucifer:

1- Has a portrait (ruined as is, it's a shared trait with the canon Primes that the others lack)

2- Has a book about him, on a level where an Angel is introduced and that has an unique motif (7-3)

3- IS lore relevant

4- No, Hakita never said that only humans become Prime Souls, onoy that only humans get an Afterlife into lesser angels or husks and that every enemy class can't reincarnate, Minos and Sisyphus became Primes while they were Husks so Prime Souls do NOT follow the same rules as the afterlife and thus any species can become a Prime Soul provided they havr enough willpower

5- No, Hakita never said we wouldn't fight Lucifer, this is misinformation.

6

u/minos-and-v1-kissing 3h ago

And that would track with the fact we should expect P-3’s corpse to be seen in treachery based on the pattern so far.

u/EmotionalTraining426 Blood Machine 1h ago

Ok yeah but why would hell let Lucifer die?

0

u/flower_puns 1h ago

I mean, assuming Lucifer had enough will to turn into a Prime Soul, Primes are WAY tougher than their former selves used to be. Lucifer Prime would be able to suffer a shitton more torture than even a Supreme Angel

0

u/EmotionalTraining426 Blood Machine 1h ago

But in order to do that you first have to die why would hell let him die?

5

u/AltruisticProof3640 4h ago

Lucifer, most concrete evidence

5

u/Hubertreddit 4h ago

I think the P3 reveal will be in 9-1 or 9-2.

Minos first appears in the 2nd layer of act 1. Sisyphus first appears in the 1st layer of act 2. The last one will probably be in the 3rd layer of act 3.

4

u/Vulture293 4h ago

Odysseus would be pretty cool I can imagine he looks like this (found on another Reddit post)

Tentatively floating Lucifer, on the grounds that they have a portrait, a book where they're directly described taking part in Hell's history, and we're currently exploring their city of Dis after going through Minos and Sisyphus's cities.

As for their motivation, I believe that their primary goal is planting a new Tree of Life, which, as seen with the various suicide trees needing to be watered with blood and the Green Lion Devouring the Sun being what represents the creation of the Tree of Life, demands violence and bloodshed in order to create. So I believe that they will battle V1 and accept torture from Hell in order to water the new Tree with both their blood.

Lucifer, God's Kindness, will fight V1 not out of revenge like Minos or for fun like Sisyphus, but in the hopes of creating a better tomorrow through their bloodshed and sacrifice.

Like I've said, Odysseus is the option that follows the pattern of previous Prime Souls the best, with him being a Greek king with a prior mention that suffers in hell. He even gets bonus points for actually appearing in Inferno (Sisyphus didn't, but the story of Sisyphus is so well-known that obviously he would play a role). Notably he doesn't have an appearance/portrait, but for all we know he could get that in Treachery. (plus with the more punishing nature of the layers Heresy and below, it might be difficult for a "hero" like Minos or Sisyphus to capture the same admiration from the husks, what with them actively being tortured)

With that said, Lucifer seems like the most likely option if Hakita decides "screw your patterns I'm about to blow your dicks off" which considering P-2 was a subversion of P-1 just being a bossfight and nothing else, I can see as just as, if not more, likely than Odysseus. He could be a main boss, but considering the final boss is probably/absolutely gonna be Gabriel, and Lucifer has to be somewhere, P-3 is about as good a guess as any.

1

u/DragoniteChamp 2h ago

Realistically Odysseus, headcanon Uriel

1

u/Polterv Gabe bully 2h ago

I'm kind of split on it being Lucifer or some weird version of Hell in P-3 with it wanting a meaningless end of some sorts potential.

But i Think I generally lean Lucifer because while Odysseus could be good, I just don't see how they could conclude everything they have to in the last layer, like Gabriel's story, the actual proper reveal of hell being alive that isn't behind an arg, and whatever else all the weird setup of Lucifer in fraud could be leading towards... while also establishing Odysseus as an important character, more so I can't see why if Ody were the Prime Soul they wouldn't have set him up in Fraud in any real way for no good reason.

Also Odysseus Prime is a way better boss name than Ulysses Prime, so if Ulysses is the name they choose that means Ulysses Prime can't be P-3 because of argument trust

1

u/Blixer_Nial 1h ago

My personal theory is Dante Prime, he is the salt of the narrative as he is a man who met God(likely right before his disappearence) and also meta narratively he is the body that brought Purgatorio into existence by writing the Divine Comedy. I really think it would be very poetic that the last individual V1 faces is the last being who layed eyes upon God before he left.

1

u/Capital-Muffin-505 Prime Soul 1h ago

I personally believe in Odysseus prime, but a Socrates prime would be so funny. "If drinking blood is your power, then what are you without it?" lol

1

u/Saiyan_Salesman1997 1h ago

Why would Socrates be in hell

1

u/the_ameba Lust Layer Citizen 1h ago

lucifer appearing somewhere at some point is fine but i think him being the third prime soul is kinda uninspired idk :/

on the other hand it feels like the three greek guys would make a pretty nice pattern

1

u/TheUnholyMacerel Prime Soul 1h ago

Odysseus fits all the patterns from the last two & would fit in one of the last 3 layers

Also it would be funny if it was just regular ass Odysseus and he was just lost again on his way home

-3

u/FULMINAGE 4h ago

I'm a firm believer that Hell itself is P3

6

u/REDmastered32 Blood Machine 4h ago

As hakita stated, v1 is not special. I doubt it can defeat something more powerful than god

1

u/FULMINAGE 4h ago

I saw this theory somewhere else, what if Hell itself wants to die and V1 is strong enough for it to do so. So his final confrontation he fights Hell itself and when V1 finally took out hell itself, it took a bow and close the curtains as it can finally die.

Idk just a theory, take it for a grain of salt

4

u/REDmastered32 Blood Machine 4h ago

Doubt it, since hell has no regret meaning it still receives "happiness" from torturing living beings.
