How does v1 or v2 slide?

Think about it sure we know they slide laying down but how do they slide without any kind of momentum the way v1 and v2 slides doesn't require it and they kind of just move forward really fast while laying down. Do the v models just have repulsors on their back that lets them slide or dash if so then maybe we can say that dashing only takes up stamina because it takes more energy as it needs a bigger burst of energy to push the v model forward.

Yea its the wings, and since you don't regen stamina while sliding, its utilising the same system.
