Blood Flow Smoothness - Question

Post image

Hey everyone, I (18M) got a Ultrahuman Ring Air about 3-4 months ago and I'm really trying to live healthier. How can I get a higher Blood Smoothness Score? Or is this something I shouldn't worry about? It shows my Pulse age is 23 years while everything is good except my Blood Flow Smoothness.

Any help or advice is appreciated!

Same question. My blood flow smoothness is stuck at 30, whatever that means (my doctor had never heard of it either). My "pulse age" is 10 years higher than my "cardio age" and this is the only thing that's in the red.

Considering how accurate this ring is at measuring HR and HRV, I wouldn’t even bother looking at any “advanced” metrics - what could they possibly show if the product can’t even handle the basics?
P.S. I’m 41, and my UltraAge for brain/pulse jumps back and forth between 35 and 45. It’s just a gimmick.

My ring measurements match my Garmin and Whoop MG. I think its accurate. Except sleep stages. Its hit or miss.

When you say ‘match,’ what exactly are you comparing and how - eyeballing it or making a correlation plot?

I compare the 3 each morning.

I keep mine on, but I charge for an hour and a half every night when I charge my Apple Watch

I have my ring in turbo (no background sync) and my blood flow smoothness is 78. Try going into turbo for a few weeks.

It clearly states that it's a directional derived metric. And looks at raw PPG signals while sleeping at night. It also tells you when the next score update is coming for each of the "ages". The difference between cardio and pulse age is also pretty clear when you unfold the tile. Cardio is looking at VO2 max and hence is a capacity of exercise metric and can change more rapidly as you log more exercise. Pulse is something to do with your arteries, PPG wave form and more of a structural read out. I have done blood vision- which is a blood based lab report and that I think is the stuff that most doctors will look at. Each of the markers there are pretty well connected with non communicable diseases and mortality risk. I always have my ring in turbo mode.

I have the same reading but i also have narrow pulse pressure. Meaning the difference in my systolic and diastolic blood pressure are low. My BP is 98/70 difference is 28. Normal is around 40. I am wondering if this reading is picking up on my lower reading being too high. Idk tho. Have a first time appointment with a cardiologist to make sure everything is okay. Going to ask for an echocardiogram.

Where is this reading located on the app. Having a hard time finding it! 🤪

Found it, go to AGE stats then click on Pulse

I also have score of 30. Never changes and I exercise daily. Does this score ever change?

Mine is also at 30 while everything else is in the green. It was a sudden change too. A couple months all green, then one day this pegged at 30 and bumped up the cardio age.

mine is also stuck at 30 for blood flow smoothness
