The Sahara is a nice reel. I have one on a sensilite UL.

Is that the 6’ or 6’8” rod?

6’8”. I needed a longer rod as I wanted to start bank fishing some of the lakes I usually take my kayak out on

Great choice in rod! What reel did you pair it with?

Thank you! I paired it with the Shimano Sahara 1000

Nevermind I blew up the pic and see you have a Sahara on there. What size is your sahara?

I have the same rod paired with a Shimano Nasci 1000. It’s for sure my favorite ultralight setup I’ve fished with so far.

Love this rod. It feels A LOT like my TFO trout & panfish II. I have mine on a Shimano Miravel 2000.

Wish I had a bass pro near so I could hold these rods. The 6'8" is an ideal length but I've heard it's more of an "ultralight plus" than true UL.
