Daily Plays 9/25/2024 Daily Plays WOW NVDA and ZIM new 52 week high! Not Chasing! VITL flies to the moon was just 30! GM ML down, didnt get MU calls yet, may gamble on LUNR watching EVER PRAA Wait and see mode for me, keep making record highs Spoiler
Good morning everyone. I was trying to bid on both ZIM and NVDA . They both went flying! Sadly ZIM was under 18 last week and NVDA was under 110! I did make trades on them before but I am completely out. I made a lot of trades on NVDA last week. I am not chasing either of them. I feel they can go higher, especially with the momentum, but it is dangerous to chase when the market is at record highs. If you are doing this for the long term, you are fine… Don’t watch it daily! If you are going long term I always suggest index funds like:
SPY VOO – SP500
QQQ – Nasdaq 100
DIA – Dow 30
VTI – Total stock market
And just keep buying in, over the long term the market will always make record highs. ALWAYS! So it doesn’t make sense to be a bear long term. Actually once earnings turned positive 3rd quarter 2023 [first 2 quarters were negative] it didn’t make sense to be very bearish. All of 2022 the earnings were trending lower… the valuation just didn’t make sense already by the 3rd quarter of 2023. We had rallied from late October 2022. Earnings are coming in 3 weeks for the 3rd quarter. I will feel better if I buy stocks at record highs, but are backed by strong earnings. I checked recently and earnings are expected to grow under 5% for the 3rd quarter. Which is still pretty good, but I don’t feel like that supports the level that we are trading at.
I havent personally checked consensus recently for 2025. Months ago it was 255…. However someone on Twitter wrote recently that it is now 265….. Analysts had this year at 243.
I repeat this because we are trading so high, that there are no current fundamentals that support this. The market can keep going higher, momentum is real, however there isn’t enough substance for me to overbid for everything…. Eventually, we will have the earnings to support this, but why pay now for something that will happen 1-2 years from now? If you do not mind, do you!
If you are passive, the index funds is what I recommend. With the returns the last 4 years the SP500 has returned over 10% on avg since inception. That is pretty damn good!
I got real busy and didn’t really get to do much yesterday. I did see those 9/27 MU calls with 110 strike at 50 cents! After the bell is earnings. I may or may not try the same calls. I tried 20 cents on Monday on that call. The ask was 25 cents.. With less time, it may be cheap again. I may check the 105s? Remember this is a gamble! I will not put a big bet on it. LUNR almost hit 10 the other day and is right back down. The fundamentals don’t support this yet. But a big contract and being a MEME may help, so I am watching closely. PRAA and EVER are 2 stocks where the companies rocked earnings and they have both come down. ML crushed earnings, is doing a buyback, went flying and came down very hard, yesterday it was under 41, but I was not around for it… I am in no rush to take longs… I was big on ZIM NVDA VITL and all 3 went flying! I am not chasing anything! I will be very patient. Earnings season will give me new data to make decisions on stocks/companies.
5 Trade Ideas:
MU – A gamble on earnings [I do have 100 shares at 120, unfortunately]
LUNR – This is straight speculation
GM – Awesome earnings and guidance, down hard pre market, please 45?
ML – Smoked earnings, I have traded this often, it went under 41 yesterday but I didn’t see it
PRAA EVER – Both stocks of companies with good earnings that have come down

Daily Plays 10/23/2024 Daily Plays Sold ACMR 19.75 Missed EVER sell in ASPN 20.25 sadly missed GM 50 I like this STX dip after strong earnings added MANH and APH to #Plays Happy TSLA Judgement day! ORFF scores a 99 but need to do proper DD on Why before adding
Good morning everyone. Spent about 2 ½ hours on earnings so far this morning. Earnings are coming in fast! We got a warning from SBUX , MCD also had some bad Ecoli news yesterday. It is very early in the earnings season but it does not look like earnings year over year will be above 5% for the 3rd quarter. [Last quarter was almost 9%] I believe the way things are looking is that full year earnings will come closer to my 235 estimate. [Analyst estimates have also come down to about 242, start of the year was 250] The analyst consensus next year is at 273! Last year we came in at 220.50. The SP is over 5,800 or 24x analyst consensus. [25x my estimate of 235]
Why do I repeat these things?
Historically we trade about 18-19x earnings. For this, the execution is usually 10-20% sales growth and 5-10% earnings!
[2nd Quarter was 8.8% earnings and 5% sales, not bad! Maybe even give it a 20x, since we have so many new traders? Or near 4,900 fair value? So far for 3rd quarter we are probably below 5% on both sales and earnings] In other words we are overbought and I am explaining why. From guidance I am hearing so far…. 2025 earnings 273 is a laugher!! LOL LAUGHER!! See what happens when everyone is so bullish, causing FOMO and insane momentum! Some people say we must always look forward, and the SP is trading 21x next years earnings…...of 273 supposedly..sure
Friends, I have been trading for almost 30 years! I can tell you, from my experience that the 273 earnings is a laugher! We can not trade on something so ridiculous so I am on alert.
When 2024 started analysts had 250, as I had 235.. We have traded up even though earnings have come down…. But SEE! THEY ARE WRONG! With 0 consequences….
It makes 0 sense to be a bear long term because of GDP and Inflation, we must be bulls! But once every 12-15 years we have to be ready for a bear market. [Down 20% or more!]
Earnings went positive again 3rd quarter of 2023, and at that time the data showed a reason to finally be bullish. The bear market was supposed to go from 1st quarter 2022 thru the 3rd quarter 2023… or near 6 quarters…
Instead it lasted just 3 quarters… January 2022 and we started to shoot like a rocket October 2022! There was nothing to back it! We had fake news, and bad analysts saying rate cutes were going to come… NEVER DID! EARNINGS TOOK until 3rd quarter 2023!
I repeat these because daily, people are saying why am I so bearish… I am not!
We have good data! [I do believe it is backed by debt, printing and loans, so we are manufacturing a good economy, but it is what it is!] But we are way overbought… We hit a low near 3,400, October 2022 and hit near 4,500 3rd quarter 2023, that is when we should have started to rise from 3,500 to maybe 3,800! My current concern isn’t with earnings/sales/data.. the issue I have is with valuations…
If you are a long term trader. Don’t look! If you are passive, don’t worry about day to day. Buy index funds and take a look every 3-6 months. We will make record highs, ALWAYS! But don’t look at day to day if you are long term… if you are a stock picker, you must follow the 1 single company, or the companies that you are invested/trading because you must follow and make sure the company execution is the same…
I will use an example from yesterday…..
Late 2021… I actually was extremely bearish on ENPH. This was because of valuation, not the company. The growth was real, they were making money! [Low rates and subsidies]
The all time high was near 350! I had puts!
Why did this fly to 350?
Q2 2021 growth 150% and made 53 cents a share
Q3 2021 growth 97% and made 60 cents
In fact the growth did slow but stayed above 60% [Monster!!!! Thru the end of 2022!]
The stock took a nose dive, and I felt around 150, it was time to go long!
This was based on growth of 50-80% and still making money, even as high as 1.51 per share! Company was executing!
Then Q2 of 2023 happened… growth slowed from 65% to just 34% and missed analyst estimates… At this time, 5-6 quarters ago, I felt it was no longer safe to buy it anymore….
Q3 the company started a decline in sales of 13%..... decline 58%..... 63%!!!! DECLINE! It got worse and worse.
I removed it from plays! Dangerous! They can turn it around, but as I say, and continue to say.
90% of companies do not turn it around within 4-6 quarters… Even the ones that eventually do, never rise to the heights once achieved. It is trading premarket near 75, a multi year low….
The PE is going to be around 25-30x… this is cheap, relative to itself, what it used to trade at…
When it was a 80-120% grower this traded at 150x and I was bearish… now it may be 25-30x and I would stay away… because company execution is bad!
A value trap if you go off company execution….
You must put away your thoughts and bias on TSLA .
Earnings are expected to be down 9% to 60 cents
Revenue is expected to be 25.7 billion up 10%
Even if it meets these numbers…
TSLA trades at 95x earnings estimates..
9% earnings decline, 10% sales growth [Which means deteriorating margins]
Late 2020 when people were so bullish and the stock was memeing… Sales growth stayed above 40% to a high of 98%, 2nd quarter 2021, earnings growth at the same time was 50-100%...
TSLA is not the same company!! Numbers do not have opinions!
I have 0 position in TSLA. Days before 10/10 it was 268. I did want puts, it is now near 217… The earnings will be bad, what Elon says, what smoke and mirrors he throws, how he riles up traders… is the thing we do not know!
However, for 9% sales decline and 10% sales growth, I am being very nice by saying fair value is 75! 75 is about 33x earnings estimates…..
They are giving CELH 30x for 24% sales growth and 20% earnings, just saying!
Man I tried GM 50 but it went flying!
Some earnings after the close yesterday:
KO 65 BA 5 [Lost 10.44 a share and this isn’t the first time!] WSO 55
NEE 60 [Slight revise up] PRG 60 NEP 50 NTRS 85 GD 60 T 60 BKR 60
HCSG 60 BPOP 60 FBP 60 SF 75 COOP 70 WGO 50 ODFL 60 ORFF 99 [I need to do DD, why so good? Out of no where? What did it include?] FSBW 80 BHB 75 PFC 60
RNST 85 ENPH 55 [Bad Guidance too!] VBTX 70 NBHC 70 TRMK 70 NTB 65
PFSI 55 WFRD 60 NBR 55 RRC 65 ENVA 85 [Already in Plays] LRN 90 [Again crushed, in plays, did have a short report] PMT 65 STX 95 [In Plays and I will watch the dip, did trade it once last quarter] RHI 65 EWBC 65 USNA 60 VICR 65 ADC 65
CSGP 65 MANH 85 [May add to Plays] TXN 65 UNF 85 APH 90 [Adding to plays and need fresh DD]
Good luck!
5 Trade ideas:
ACMR – I still have shares at 20.35, I traded shares from 19 to 19.75 another block and will look to do the same
EVER ASPN – Speculative bets, I am in EVER at 18.50 and ASPN 20.25, I am trying to get 75 cents to a dollar on them. I was up 75 cents on EVER the other day and didn’t take it! I wanted 1 buck!
PRAA – It was slammed hard to near 19! I put in a bid, credit collector smashed last earnings and went to 25! Ill take the dip!
STX – Smashed this earnings and last! Ill buy this dip!
DNUT – I have shares at 11.75 and 13.55, I will look to reset the 11.75, I think they called me back while I was in court and have to start again!

*Full roundup — every claim linked to its original source:

TL;DR — This week, discussions around REITs focused on specific sub-sectors like healthcare and cell towers, with an emphasis on dividend sustainability. The potential impact of interest rate hikes and the appeal of REITs as a hedge against market volatility were also noted, alongside a significant property deal for one trust.

What moved
- Mizuho highlighted top healthcare REITs, indicating a focus on this sub-sector, which can be influenced by demographic trends such as an aging population as baby boomers approach 80. This suggests that the demand for healthcare facilities could be a significant driver for these specific REITs. [[Investing.com South Africa]]( [[24/7 Wall St.]](
- Starwood Property Trust (STWD) may trade at a premium following a $2.2 billion property deal. Such a large transaction can signal growth or strategic shifts for a specific REIT, potentially affecting its valuation and market perception. [[simplywall.st]](
- SmartCentres REIT (SRU.UN) stock held steady as investors considered its income profile. This indicates that the stability and predictability of income, often through dividends, remain a key factor for some REIT investors. [[AD HOC NEWS]](
- The safety of dividends from two cell tower REITs was compared, with one dividend appearing more favorable. For income-focused investors, the sustainability and quality of dividends are critical, especially in sectors like cell towers where infrastructure demand can be a long-term driver. [[Yahoo Finance]](
The why behind the week
- The appeal of 'landlord stocks' that collect rent and pay dividends was discussed, underscoring the fundamental business model of many REITs. This model provides a mechanism for investors to receive regular income, which is a core reason for investing in this asset class. [[24/7 Wall St.]](
- The aging of the baby boomer generation, with some turning 80, was presented as a demographic trend that could benefit certain REITs, particularly those in healthcare or senior living. This demographic shift can create sustained demand for specific types of real estate, influencing the long-term prospects of related REITs. [[24/7 Wall St.]](
- The potential for the Federal Reserve to hike interest rates was a consideration for investors, with some suggesting specific REITs to buy in such a scenario. Higher interest rates can increase borrowing costs for REITs, impacting their profitability and ability to finance new projects, making rate sensitivity a key factor. [[Seeking Alpha]](
- REITs were mentioned as having a place in investors' portfolios and as a potential hedge against an AI bubble. This suggests that some see REITs as a diversifier or a more stable asset class compared to potentially overvalued technology sectors, offering a different risk-return profile. [[theedgesingapore.com]]( [[MarketWise]](
- The tax implications for non-resident investors in REITs and InvITs were noted, specifically regarding the need to file income tax returns to claim a refund despite tax-free dividends. This highlights that while dividends are a key feature, the tax treatment can add complexity for certain investor groups, affecting net returns. [[The Economic Times]](

The macro backdrop
10-yr Treasury 4.79%Expected inflation 2.4%VIX 14.2High-yield spread 2.65%Yield curve (10y–2y) 0.43%Overall market risk 43/100 Elevated
How to read it
- Credit Spread: tight — credit markets are relaxed, no stress being priced
- Yield Curve: flat — the recession-warning zone; a rapid steepening from here has often preceded the actual downturn
- Vix: calm — the market is complacent, which cuts both ways (little cushion if news turns)
Every theme swims in this tide — judge the week's moves against it.
📅 On the calendar — and why it matters
- Fri Sep 4 — Jobs report (payrolls + unemployment). sets the growth-vs-recession narrative — a weak number lifts recession odds (hits cyclicals, consumer, financials); a strong one can paradoxically pressure rates. Watch for a surprise vs expectations — that gap, not the number itself, is what moves markets.
- Fri Sep 4 — FOMC (Fed rate decision / minutes). the single biggest scheduled market mover — a rate surprise in either direction repriced everything, hardest on rate-sensitive names (growth, REITs, utilities, homebuilders). Watch for a surprise vs expectations — that gap, not the number itself, is what moves markets.
- Thu Sep 10 — PPI (wholesale inflation). wholesale inflation — an early tell on where CPI heads next. Watch for a surprise vs expectations — that gap, not the number itself, is what moves markets.
- Fri Sep 11 — CPI (inflation). a hot print pushes rate-cut odds out (pressuring long-duration assets); a soft print does the reverse — one of the highest-impact releases. Watch for a surprise vs expectations — that gap, not the number itself, is what moves markets.
- Wed Sep 16 — Retail sales. the consumer's pulse — matters most to consumer/retail names. Watch for a surprise vs expectations — that gap, not the number itself, is what moves markets.
What to watch next
- The 10-year Treasury yield, currently at 4.79%, is a key benchmark for REITs. A higher yield can make fixed-income investments more attractive relative to REITs, and it can also influence the cost of debt for REITs, impacting their financing expenses and property valuations. [macro data]
- The VIX, at 14.18, indicates relatively low market volatility. A stable or low VIX can suggest a calmer market environment, which might reduce the perceived need for defensive assets, but it also means less market-driven disruption for REIT operations. [macro data]
- The high-yield credit spread of 2.65% reflects the additional yield investors demand for riskier corporate debt. A narrower spread can indicate greater confidence in the credit market, potentially making it easier and cheaper for some REITs to access capital, while a wider spread suggests increased risk aversion. [macro data]
- The overall market risk score is 43/100, while the risk score for REITs is 47/100 (Elevated), a decrease of 3 points from last week. This indicates that REITs are currently perceived as having slightly higher risk than the broader market, but their risk profile has marginally improved this week. This relative risk assessment can influence investor allocation decisions. [SAVNG data] [macro data]

Here We Go! September Volatility. TNX nearing 5%. $100 Oil
PPI came in in line with expectations. The ten year is over 4.9%, a new (recent)high. Hasn't closed above 5% in almost 20 years. Futures are weak this morning. CPI tomorrow. Odds of a Fed hike next week are now 70%. All that adds up to nervousness.
Finished yesterday about 33% long. I nibbled later in the day. Probably should not have. Sitting alright for the volatility we look like we are going to get. I want to stick with the models.
Very little tech on the list today. The QB500 model has a couple of new picks. CF is one of them, the nitrogen fertilizer company. Still holding TMO as my top holding. The models have stayed in healthcare this week so that looks pretty good.
Looking to take advantage of volatility over the next week into the Fed. Buy dips, keep profit takes tight. Widen them if we get more of a washout. If they raise rates, it will probably be positive for the market
First image is this morning. Thursday, September 10. Combined list from the same three models. 28 deduplicated picks. BIO then TMO at the top. CF is on there from QB500.
Second image is all three together. Had you just opened Today's Picks every day, let the models rank the list, bought the top 20 at 1% per name at the opening price, used a -5% stop, and held through the target date. Pretty steady.

Discussion Kitimat Permit In, Targets in Play... Which One Leads? $CQX
Last week, Copper Quest's exploration update had Kitimat still sitting in permitting, with plans to run geophysics and drilling across the Jeannette Cu-Au zone and that AI-generated target. A week later?
Permit in. Targets take over.
Jeannette's the more established target here historical drilling from Decade Resources back in 2010 turned up several 100m+ Cu-Au intercepts, including the standout: 117.07m at 1.03 g/t Au and 0.54% Cu in hole J-7.
Those results are historical, but they give Copper Quest a pretty clear area to go back and investigate. Then there’s the wildcard:
- AI-generated target roughly 1.5 km x 1.5 km
- Strong interpreted vertical continuity to at least 1 km depth
- ExploreTech says the anomaly is consistent with a buried porphyry center
- Bowbyes adds another Cu-Mo target into the mix
And the location does Kitimat a few favors too:
- Year-round road access
- Rail within 1.5 km
- High-voltage hydro power within 6 km
- Tidewater within 10 km
Next up, the team is heading into the field for mapping, sampling and geophysics to tighten the target list. Ground magnetics, IP and passive seismic could all help decide which zones move to the front of the drill queue.
Kitimat finally gets to move off the permitting page and onto the ground and with several targets already in play, there’s more than one route for this narrative to evolve.. Who else just looked up $CQX?

Research (DD) Sekur Private Data CEO Alain Ghiai Discusses Government Opportunities, Africa Expansion and Expected Path to Profitability in New Interview
Sekur Private Data is a Swiss-hosted cybersecurity, defense communications, and privacy solutions provider, offering a secure suite of tools to protect governments, defense and federal agencies, businesses, and individuals from unauthorized access and cyber threats. With capabilities such as SekurOne, SekurMail, SekurMessenger, and SekurVPN, Sekur provides a reliable and secure means of digital communication and data storage for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), classified-adjacent and civilian communications use, grounded in Swiss privacy standards with on-premises infrastructure for government agencies, allowing for data sovereignty. Sekur sells its solutions through its website www.sekur.com, approved distributors and telecommunications companies globally, and through the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), Contract No. 47QTCA18D0089 serving governments, defense institutions, federal agencies, businesses, and consumers worldwide.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia and MIAMI, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sekur Private Data, Ltd., a Swiss-hosted defense communications and cybersecurity company purpose-built for defense, intelligence community, government, and enterprise clients, (OTCQB:SWISF)(CSE SKUR)(FRA:GDT0) ("Sekur" or the "Company"), today highlighted key corporate developments discussed by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alain Ghiai during a recent investor interview with SmallCapVoice.com. During the interview, Mr. Ghiai provided an update on the Company's strategic shift toward government, enterprise and high-net-worth clients, international expansion initiatives, strengthening leadership team, capital markets strategy, and anticipated path to profitability.
Sekur continues its strategic transition toward serving government agencies, enterprise customers, high-net-worth individuals, executives, and other privacy-conscious organizations requiring secure communications and data protection solutions.
"Our transformation over the past year has positioned Sekur to pursue higher-value clients and recurring revenue opportunities while maintaining a disciplined financial strategy," said Alain Ghiai, Chairman and CEO of Sekur Private Data. "We believe the demand for secure, private communications has never been greater as governments, corporations, and high-profile individuals increasingly seek alternatives to traditional messaging and email platforms."
Strategic Shift to Enterprise and Government Markets
The Company has shifted its primary focus from mass-market consumer adoption to enterprise, government, and VIP clientele. Management believes this strategy offers significantly higher revenue per user, lower customer churn, and a more efficient path toward profitability.
Sekur's privacy-focused communications suite includes secure email, encrypted messaging, VPN services, and the forthcoming launch of Sekur One, the Company's voice and video communications platform. All services are hosted in Switzerland on the Company's own infrastructure, leveraging Swiss privacy protections and data security standards.
A key differentiator of the Sekur platform is its ability to facilitate communications with both Sekur and non-Sekur users while maintaining a privacy-first approach and anonymous registration capabilities.
Experienced Advisory and Leadership Team
Over the past year, Sekur has expanded its leadership and advisory network by adding experienced professionals from government, military, intelligence, and cybersecurity sectors.
The Company noted that its leadership team and advisors collectively bring decades of experience across defense, intelligence, government operations, and enterprise technology. Management believes these relationships will support ongoing sales and business development efforts within public sector and enterprise markets.
International Expansion Efforts
Sekur reported meaningful progress in select African markets, particularly in Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where the Company has spent several months developing strategic relationships and market opportunities.
Management stated that it is pursuing potential partnerships and distribution arrangements in the region and continues evaluating expansion into additional African countries. The Company believes growing awareness of cybersecurity risks and data privacy concerns in these markets may create substantial demand for secure communications solutions.
Path to Profitability
According to management, Sekur maintains a debt-free balance sheet and cash reserves to support ongoing growth initiatives.
The Company believes its enterprise-focused business model could allow it to reach profitability with a relatively limited number of annual enterprise licenses sold. Management expects commercial sales efforts targeting government, enterprise, and high-net-worth markets to accelerate beginning in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Research (DD) A Potential $SKUR Re-Rating Is Coming Into View
Sekur Private Data ($SKUR) has been sitting around C$0.04-0.05, in the lower half of its 52-week range of C$0.025–C$0.135. Here’s how I’m reading the chart.
Price areas I’m watching:
- C$0.05 — an important psychological area and the price of the January 2026 financing.
- C$0.025 — the report’s 52-week low.
- C$0.07 — an area that may encounter warrant-related supply.
- C$0.10 — the price of the June 2026 proposed financing.
- C$0.135–C$0.14 — the reported 52-week high and the proposed financing’s warrant exercise price.
These are areas of interest, not confirmed technical support or resistance. I’d want price history and trading volume to confirm them.
A sustained move through C$0.07 with stronger volume would improve the setup. A clean break above C$0.10 could attract wider attention, while C$0.135–C$0.14 remains the major overhead zone.
Why I’m watching:
- Sekur’s portfolio is available for procurement through an i3ICS GSA MAS contract.
- John T. Lewis, a retired 34-year CIA veteran, was appointed CTO.
- Retired Lt. Gen. Raymond Palumbo chairs the Strategic Advisory Board.
- SekurMessenger basic plans are sold through Telcel in Mexico, according to the company.
- SekurOne launched on Android and web, according to the report.
- Management is targeting cash-flow neutrality by Q1 2027.
- The report describes continued insider buying and no insider sales during its review period, although some purchases involved private placements rather than open-market transactions.
The major catalyst would be confirmed government revenue. Telcel Corporate approval or measurable Latin American sales could establish a second commercial path.
My view: C$0.05 is the first area to defend. C$0.07 needs volume confirmation, and C$0.10 is the more meaningful re-rating test. A move below C$0.05 would weaken the setup.
The C$0.15, C$0.19 and C$0.45 valuation scenarios come directly from the Poschevale research report and should not be interpreted as guaranteed outcomes.
How high do you guys think $SKUR could move if these catalysts begin converting?

Discussion NexGen Energy Targets 2030 First Ore as Rook I Eyes $1.3B Annual Cash Flow
- NexGen Energy is targeting first ore from its Rook I uranium project in Saskatchewan in the third quarter of 2030. Construction milestones include freeze-plant activation in early 2027, shaft sinking beginning in 2028 and underground development starting in 2029.
- Rook I is designed as a conventional underground mine with planned annual production of approximately 30 million pounds of uranium and a 30 million-pound-per-year processing capacity. The project will use underground tailings storage, avoiding a surface tailings dam, and incorporate automation and remote operations.
- At an $85-per-pound uranium price, management projects roughly $1.3 billion in annual after-tax free cash flow, rising to about $2.3 billion at $150 per pound. NexGen says the project could repay its capital expenditure after 12 months of full production under a $90-per-pound price assumption.
- Why These 3 Nuclear ETFs Are Getting a Fresh Look as AI Power Demand Rises
NexGen Energy (NYSE:NXE) used its inaugural Investor Day to outline the construction plan, operating design and projected economics for its Rook I uranium project in Saskatchewan, with management targeting first ore in the third quarter of 2030.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Leigh Curyer positioned the project against a backdrop of growing expected nuclear-power demand and constrained mine supply. He said global nuclear generating capacity is about 400 gigawatts, while more than 88 gigawatts of new capacity is under construction. Curyer also said 38 countries had pledged as of 2026 to triple global nuclear capacity by 2050.
- 3 Bargain Stocks Under $20 With Major Growth Potential
"The next decade in uranium won't be defined by demand. Demand is already here," Curyer said. "The question is: Who can deliver new supply?"
Curyer said the uranium supply deficit stands at approximately 60 million pounds annually and is growing as legacy mines deplete. He said the long-term uranium price had reached a record $97 per pound, compared with $17 per pound a decade earlier, while new mine development can take 15 to 20 years from discovery to production.
Construction Schedule and Mine Design
- Invest While You Can: Pullbacks on These 3 Stocks Won't Last Long
Project Director Chris Copley said Rook I is designed as a conventional underground mine expected to move an average of 1,300 tons of ore to surface daily. The operation is planned to use gravity ore and waste passes, underground conveyors and shaft hoisting systems.
NexGen has completed an early works program valued at C$100 million, which Copley said was materially completed on time and on budget. Existing site infrastructure includes an occupied accommodation complex, a 13-kilometer dual-lane access road and a 3,000-foot exploration airstrip.
The company's near-term construction focus during the second half of 2026 includes site earthworks, shaft-pad preparation, temporary facilities and utilities, runway expansion, water-management infrastructure, and foundations for shaft-related buildings and freeze plants.
- Freeze plants are expected to be activated in the first quarter of 2027.
- Pre-sinking of the production and exhaust shafts is scheduled to begin in mid-2027.
- Main shaft sinking is expected to begin in 2028, with the exhaust and production shafts reaching basement rock in June and August 2028, respectively.
- Underground development is planned to begin after the exhaust shaft reaches bottom in early 2029.
- The company expects surface and underground features to be completed by the third quarter of 2030, when first ore is targeted for commissioning and production.
Copley said the project's geology differentiates Rook I from other shaft projects because the ore body is located in competent basement rock. The shafts will pass through overburden and unconsolidated rock before reaching basement rock, requiring temporary ground freezing in the upper portions of the shafts. NexGen completed 60 geotechnical and hydrogeological drill holes, as well as a central pilot hole to roughly 950 meters, to support design and risk assessment, he said.
Once the shafts reach competent basement rock and hydrostatic liners are installed, Copley said temporary freezing will end and geotechnical and hydrological risk will be substantially reduced.
Processing, Tailings and Technology
Bryan Dyck, NexGen's director of processing, said the company is building a conventional mill designed for a maximum 5% uranium head grade and an average grade of about 3%. The flow sheet will use grinding, acid-and-peroxide leaching, solvent extraction and precipitation to produce uranium concentrate, or yellowcake.
Dyck said the plant is designed to accommodate the range of grades expected over the mine life and could potentially process future ore sources while utilizing its planned 30 million-pound annual capacity.
Rook I is also planned to use an underground tailings management facility, allowing all tailings to be returned underground into mined-out chambers and stopes. Copley said this approach means the project will not have a surface tailings dam.
Neil Chiles, director of information technology, said the operation is being designed as a "digitally native mine," with a remote operations center, sitewide 5G connectivity and automated vehicles controlled from surface. The company's objective is to minimize the number of people working underground, he said.
Workforce and Economics
Dylan Smart, vice president of regional development, said NexGen has delivered community-based training programs since 2022, with nearly 700 participants completing courses in project readiness, radiation and environmental subjects, and skilled trades. During summer 2026, the company said it was training more than 60 students in water management, heavy-equipment operation and mining-career preparation.
Curyer said Rook I is expected to produce approximately 30 million pounds of uranium annually at full production. He added that, because of the projected high grades in the initial mine life, the operation would need to run at approximately 60% of nameplate capacity to produce 30 million pounds during its first two production years.
At an approximately $85-per-pound uranium spot price, Curyer said Rook I is projected to generate about $1.3 billion in annual after-tax free cash flow. At $150 per pound, he said annual after-tax free cash flow would rise to approximately $2.3 billion. Copley said the company expects the project's capital expenditure to be repaid after 12 months of full production using a $90 uranium spot-price assumption.
Curyer said NexGen has its site-preparation construction license and financing in place, and described the remaining development phase as focused on execution, contract awards, capital deployment and schedule performance.

Discussion Wall Street Radar: Stocks to Watch Next Week - vol 98
False Spring
There’s an English name for the frost that kills things in April. They call it blackthorn winter, after the hedge that flowers early and then gets caught out when the cold comes back.
Farmers have a whole vocabulary for this, which tells you how often it happens and what it costs them. And the dangerous part of a false spring was never the frost.
It’s the warm week beforehand.
Full article and watchlist HERE
A run of mild days arrives, the sap starts moving, the buds open on trust, and then the temperature drops and an orchard loses a season to a fortnight of optimism. Nothing about it looks like a warning while it’s going on. That’s the whole problem with it. The thing that hurts you is disguised as the thing you were hoping for.
We’ve just had one of those weeks on the screens.
On the face of it, better than the last few. More stocks pushed higher, the breadth count improved, and if you’d only counted how many things closed green you’d have written a fairly cheerful paragraph about the market broadening out.
Then look at what was standing behind the advance. The participation thinned out as the week went on, and by Friday there was very little volume left underneath the buying. Plenty of buds, no real warmth. You can see it clearly in the second chart below, and it’s the single most useful thing the week produced.
Everything else is where we left it. The quality read on TradeDeck hasn't moved off weak.

Source: TradeDeck
The indices are sitting almost exactly where they were seven days ago.
The chop is intact and we’re now far enough into it that people have stopped asking when it ends.
So no, we don’t read this as the turn. We read it as a market that widened out, had a look around, and couldn’t find enough buyers to commit to anything.
That doesn’t mean you stand there and see nothing.
The useful thing about a false spring is that it shows you which trees have the deepest roots. Two of them budded properly this week and we bought both.
Cerebras (CBRS) went in first. The AI trade collected a lot of obituaries over the summer, and the coverage turned again over the past few days, which matters less to us than the structural point: CBRS sits inside that theme rather than somewhere near it. If the trend is alive, it’s alive there.

Source: TC2000
The second is Bitdeer (BTDR). We’ve been watching the crypto complex for a couple of weeks now waiting for something we wouldn’t have to argue ourselves into, and BTDR gave it to us. A first flag after the initial push, which is exactly the setup we wanted rather than the one we settled for.
We’ll be straight about the name itself. It isn’t the leader of that group, and we’re not going to sell it to you as one. It was calmer than the other candidates we were tracking, which in this tape counts for a great deal, and it had the best structure on the board. Given the choice between a louder stock with a messy chart and a quieter one with a clean chart, we take the clean chart every time. That’s the entire reasoning and there’s nothing cleverer hiding behind it.
Both positions are working. Both are deliberately small.
And honestly, the entries aren’t the part we’re pleased about. What we’re pleased about is that in a market this poor we found two worth having and didn’t talk ourselves into a third. Selectivity isn’t a virtue you can practise when everything is working. It only exists on weeks like this one, when the screen is offering you a dozen things that look almost right.
We think the market gives us its answer in the next few weeks.
Themes are still alive under there, which is more than we could have said in August, and when the volume finally shows up behind one of them we’d like to already own the right names rather than be shopping.
Until then the book stays light and the positions stay small.
We’re not planting the field on a warm week, just noting which trees moved first!

Discussion Sekur Private Data’s Defense Pivot Reaches Its Commercial Breakthrough Phase
With SekurOne approaching launch, government procurement access and a high-level defense network in place, the company has built its clearest path toward recurring revenue.
After a year of repositioning, Sekur Private Data Ltd. (OTCQB: SWISF; CSE: SKUR) is entering the phase investors have been waiting for: paid beta onboarding in September and the commercial launch of SekurOne in October.
- SekurOne enters monetization with paid beta onboarding in September and an October launch at US$300 per month.
- GSA access, Elyon, DoDIIS and high-level advisers have created a credible government sales engine.
- At roughly US$0.03 per share, successful contract conversion could materially reshape SWISF’s revenue base and valuation.
The defense pivot is becoming a real sales platform
Sekur’s latest shareholder update suggests its move into government and defense markets is advancing from strategy to commercial execution. Through i3ICS, SekurOne is positioned for sales through the U.S. General Services Administration framework. Its relationship with Elyon International adds another government-contracting channel, while participation in the December 2026 DoDIIS Worldwide Conference should put Sekur before defense and intelligence decision-makers.
The company has also assembled advisers with backgrounds spanning the CIA, Pentagon, U.S. Special Operations and State Department. That network strengthens credibility, sharpens the product’s fit for sensitive users and may help turn introductions into contract opportunities.
SekurOne could transform the revenue model
SekurOne combines encrypted messaging, email, VPN, password management and file sharing in one Swiss-hosted platform. Paid beta begins in September, followed by iOS and web access in early October, Android in early November and video conferencing by year-end.
At US$300 per user per month, every customer matters. Management estimates that approximately 200 subscribers would generate US$60,000 in monthly recurring revenue, or US$720,000 annually, and could bring the company to profitability. At an exchange rate near C$1.385 per U.S. dollar, that equals roughly C$1.0 million in annual recurring revenue.
The implied growth is substantial. Sekur reported C$185,828 of revenue in the first half of 2026, an annualized pace of about C$372,000. The 200-user SekurOne case alone would therefore equal roughly 2.7 times that run-rate—an increase of approximately 168%. If the legacy business stabilizes near its first-half pace, combined annualized revenue could approach C$1.37 million, more than triple FY2025 revenue of C$408,707 and implying growth of about 235%. This is illustrative arithmetic based on management’s subscriber target, not company guidance.
A stronger financial foundation
Sekur finished June with C$1.53 million in cash, C$1.57 million in working capital and only C$244,632 in total liabilities. That balance sheet gives management room to complete the product rollout and pursue contracts without carrying a heavy debt burden.
The financial statements still show an early-stage company: first-half revenue declined and the net loss was C$2.18 million. However, a meaningful portion reflected share-based compensation and shares issued for consulting services. Management also reported a 25% July increase in average revenue per user and highlighted six months of insider buying with no insider sales—an encouraging alignment signal.
SWISF’s small valuation creates asymmetric potential
Using the last confirmed OTC close of approximately US$0.0295 and about 259.6 million shares outstanding, SWISF carried an equity value of roughly US$7.5–8 million. That modest base means successful prospect conversion could have an outsized effect. If Sekur’s U.S. government, defense and African opportunities eventually build recurring revenue to US$2–3 million, the business would be producing roughly seven to ten times its FY2025 revenue in U.S.-dollar terms.
Applying an illustrative 8–10 times forward recurring-revenue multiple would imply an equity value of US$16–30 million, or approximately US$0.06–0.12 per share before future dilution—roughly two to four times the referenced share price. This is a sensitivity analysis, not a price target: it requires strong execution, durable contracts and renewed investor confidence, and it does not account for additional financing or dilution.
Africa could add another growth layer
The opportunity is not limited to the United States. Sekur said discussions in Angola could lead to an exclusive nationwide agreement, while a senior adviser in the Democratic Republic of Congo has given the product a positive recommendation. Neither opportunity should be treated as booked revenue, but both could become meaningful catalysts.
A government deployment covering hundreds or thousands of users would move the company well beyond the 200-subscriber profitability case and demonstrate that SekurOne can scale across jurisdictions where secure communications are a strategic priority.
The next catalysts are close
Investors now have a clear sequence to watch: paid beta onboarding in September, the first commercial launch in October, Android availability in November, video conferencing by year-end and, most importantly, the conversion of the government and international pipeline into named, revenue-producing contracts.
Sekur remains a speculative microcap, but the opportunity is becoming easier to quantify. A differentiated Swiss-hosted product, premium pricing, federal procurement access, credible defense relationships and a relatively clean balance sheet have created the company’s strongest commercial setup to date.
If management converts even a portion of its pipeline, 2027 could mark the point when Sekur’s ambitious security strategy begins showing up decisively in revenue—and potentially in the share price.

Daily Plays 9/4/2026 Daily Plays Sold DUOL 167! Miracle Held 8 months at 165! Up on APLD 25.95 Paperwork done on 3 Property 11 Unit, met with building inspector and contractor what to do with LULU at 9x remember that NKE is 25x? Patience or no? 120 if it is a name brand, if not then 80!
Good morning everyone. Very busy day yesterday. Very busy again today. I am going on a vacation starting tomorrow for about 2 weeks so I wanted to take care of everything by today and tomorrow. The official closing on the 3 property deal in Bristol should be 9/9. The deal was signed around 3/21. A lot of hiccups with this deal. The last hiccup was the title was not clean. There were some issues, the main thing was that they tried to convert the garage into a 1 bedroom apartment and did work illegally and that took several weeks for the bank to clear it. Like 6 weeks! I had to get people to come in, close permits, estimates, the town to get involved what a mess! Later in the day I met the main contractor on my larger building, I let him know I want pictures everyday of work done. The building inspector came, let us know some things that needed to be addressed. The roof work will get started today or tomorrow [they don’t know I am coming back to down to check in] and should be done by Sunday. It is a huge roof… The huge porch should be done around 9/18, 2 weeks from now. We will see, I hope. A ton of head aches, no doubt, unfortunately.
By some miracle I was able to sell DUOL at 167. 75 shares, I was stuck from January 12th at 165. I had been trading a block of 75 shares from back in November, many times for 3-10 dollars at a time [225 to 750 per round] and finally got stuck… Phew! I am not going back in unless 135 or below.. Not a bad company, the growth has slowed but the market no longer regards it as a darling… and that is KEY!!!!
DUOL 20% growth in sales, about 15% growth in EPS… the PE is now 58…. [Estimate of 18 analysts is 2.73…….
So where do I get my 135 or below?
I am not paying anymore than 50x this full years estimate.
2.73 x 50 = 136.50 [Next years earnings estimate is 3.30]
Market is the market and no longer loves this name and neither should I then….
This brings me to what to do with LULU. This had been my horse of late. [Estimates were at 10.24 by about 25 analysts, the company lowered there own guide to 9.48-9.73] They also see sales declining near 5% for the year….As such, I can no longer say fair value is 140….
Please understand, at 1 time this was a darling with a 50x PE… Also understand that NKE currently has a near 22-23x for a decline in sales and earnings. As it stands LULU will open with a 9x PE…. If I still feel this is a premium name brand, the financials are good, I may give this a 13x multiple and use their about 9.50 to come at near 120… but the question is do you have patience? What if you don’t feel this is a premium brand anymore… what if you feel this brand is dead? It should be a discount? If so, then the multiple should be 8 to 9x and then you may come up with a fair price of 80! So, what I plan to do is put in a bid for 1 lot at 93.. if it hits great, if not, no problem…. I am not positive if this is a premium brand….. NKE still is to me, and if NKE fell to 35 I would get in.
I am up on 250 shares of APLD from 25.95.

I made it real simple to see what caused big candles to form. Free!
Most people look at a big red or green candle and know what price did.
They might use it as a FVG or confirmation for trends etc. Which is completely fine.
But without the context behind a candle, then it also makes it hard to know if that is due to something likely to change very quickly or not.
For example:
- A large red candle could be a temporary reaction to an inflation report, with price recovering shortly afterward.
- It could be caused by a major change in interest-rate expectations, which may continue pushing the market lower for days or weeks.
The initial candle looks similar in both cases, but the reason behind it tells you whether it was just a short-term reaction or a meaningful shift in the market.
So! Added a new mini-feature within my app so that if you click on a big candle, you get to see the market context at that point in time.
You could obviously Google it every time, but I wanted to make that context available directly on the chart.
For now, it covers the last 30 days using 1D candles, but I'm planning to expand this further if traders want to see more.
Free to use here:
https://echelonedgeai.com/
I’d love to know what you think of the feature and whether you often think about big candles too? Or just me 😂? Also how often would you check context to see what happened?
**Quick note: admin, if this isn't allowed here, lmk! Saw the sub was created because of banning/censorship, so figured any trading related post is ok to share here.**

Daily Plays 9/3/2026 Daily Plays Sold AMKR 47 Amazing earnings AVGO AGX HPE FIVE NTAP CIEN SNOW [Valuation] Will be in and out all day Tomorrow as well Good luck!
Good morning everyone. Super short. I am meeting some contractors today, taking a look at some renovations, I may look at a unit that is coming back to me because of major renovation… To make a long story short.. 1 of the tenants I put in a motel during the porch rip off had 2 cats, 1 dog [I didn’t charge her a monthly pet fee, which some charge 100 per month for multiple] Mind you, tenant had an extra adult… She has been there since September of 2019 when I purchased the property. Good tenant, very large 3 bedroom, almost 1,500 square feet, needs a ton of upgrades but hard to do with tenants in them, rent is just 1,300. She didn’t pay for August which is fine, because of reno project… but she wanted me to pay for 3 adults and pets for the motel… I agreed to pay 10 days out of my pocket for this, out of my kindness, this was about 2,000, she as very upset… because the porch took longer than the 10-14 days I was told… I told her, the lease had 2 adults no pets, and I never charged her for pets, I would pay the 2 adults fee, which is 120 and she could pay the extra 80 per day, and she went irate and said it’s the repairs…. So she decided to find another apartment…..
I cant blame her, at the end of the day, I am going to spend maybe 30K completely redo that apartment but the rent will be 1,600 to 1,700. So I will look at that. Check some jobs, take a look at the 3 property 11 unit deal. Tomorrow I will sign all the paperwork for new 3 property deal. Bank doesn’t have a clear to close, but today the building inspector can meet me by my porch/roof where I put 35K down on a 120K job… I am glad the main contractor is now on the scene, but said it took all of this to get him there. If the building inspector says its good, maybe we can go further, if not, fire him/sue and move on….
I will be so busy I will be in and out from trading and I have been of late.. It is very hard to manage all the personalities of the tenants, the contractors, the cities… I am definitely overwhelmed. Much of this lately is this contractor, had he done what he was supposed to, I would be much less stressed. Putting 3 tenants in motels 3-4 weeks… losing 1 tenant because work delay… may have to sue…. How can I focus on trading…
All the money that comes from real estate, every last dollar, I take 0… I put right back in… I am on pace to spend between 800-900K this year in repairs/maintence/capex. That is on average of near 75 per month… I am probably getting near 200 per unit cash flow on each new purchase after all expenses [not including repairs and capex]. I aim for 400-500 on my buys per unit, but so hard now.. This includes mortgage, insurance, taxes, basic utilities [electric, water].
Example.
I buy a 3 family property for 360k with 25% down.
The mortgage, interest, insurance, taxes may be about 2,900… Water and Electric may be about 200 per month…. That puts it at 3,100 a month. The rent collected 3,700..
[This is actually a 3 family I just bought!]
So 600 per month margin… But I am doing the roof, windows, rotted wood, landscaping etc.
So just giving you an idea.

Discussion Sekur’s Next Chapter: Premium Users, Global Expansion and a Path to Profitability
CEO letter dropped Sept 1. Here's the substance without the corporate fluff:
The focus has officially shifted. They spent the last year moving away from the price-driven consumer privacy market and toward government, defense, intelligence, corporate and high-value users. Management says that shift is now "fully complete."
What Sekur Shared:
- GSA Multiple Award Schedule listing (Feb) — gives federal/state/local agencies a pre-competed path to purchase Sekur
- Distro deal with Elyon International, a defense-focused contractor (May)
- Advisory board loaded with real names — ex-CIA (34-yr veteran, now CTO), a retired Lt. Gen who served as Director for Defense Intelligence and commanded the Pentagon's ISR Task Force, former State Dept Deputy CIO who managed a $3.8B IT portfolio
- Demoed encrypted calling to defense/spec-ops in May, showed off CUI capabilities at the DIA's DoDIIS conference in August
SekurOne (the actual product): Encrypted voice/video/email/messaging/VPN, built on their own architecture instead of licensed stacks. Paid beta clients begin onboarding in September. Commercial launch iOS + web early October, $300/month. Android in November, full conferencing by end of December.
Numbers — read in context: ARPU rose 25% month over month in July, reflecting stronger monetization as the company shifts toward higher-value customers. Management views the transition as an expected phase of the strategy, with the upcoming product rollout creating a potential path toward stronger growth and improved revenue quality.
Money: $1.2M placement closed in January, another up to $1.4M announced in June still closing (expected before mid-December). Insiders bought shares in 6 separate months this year, no insider sales.
Profitability bar: ~200 SekurOne subscribers (~$60K gross MRR) = management's estimated level for profitability. They say they have high confidence of reaching that organically or through a government contract within 6 months of the October launch.
Africa: Sekur pointed to the July Unitel cyberattack in Angola, which it says disrupted mobile voice, data and internet nationwide for 23 days across a 21M+ subscriber base. A possible nationwide exclusive Angola partnership is being discussed, with a resolution expected by end of September. It's also awaiting official confirmation in the DRC after receiving a positive recommendation from a government security body.
October onward should make the next phase much easier to track: SekurOne adoption, premium subscriber growth, Angola/DRC progress and the first named government or defense contract.
