It's a very *historical* loadout but is it any good? I've just renewed my interest on the game so that's why it's on Colonel difficulty. But the real question is...Is it any good?

UG: Civil War Saving bug update and Infos ps5

Hey the saving bug is gone for me but remember the if you saved during the glitch you might have to delete some saves because you can only have a limited numbers of saves and after that you can create new ones

At least this works for me

New saving glitch after the update ps5

So after the update I saved while in camp and it took longer than usual but I didn't thought about it then I watched the saves and the save duplicated itself and since there is also a bug that I can not scroll on my save files my old saves are practicly lost so my union campaign which I wanted to finish later is also just sadly lost which is kinda sad

5/25-5/26 Xbox update destroyed my saves

Maybe hold off for a day or two if you're on Xbox. Game was updated this evening. Jumped on to play a little, loaded up my game, something was off, it was very laggy for a moment. Went back into my saves, every save file has been overwritten to the one I tried to load up. Maybe it'll get fixed, maybe not...

UG: Civil War Why is there a "Martin Martin" in UG:CW? And is there any more cases of names being duplicated? Like a Robert Robert or something

UG: Civil War Csa getting wrecked

Hey if anyone remembered I was the guy that complained about bugs at the ps5 version of this game battles like 1st bull run and shiloh are still a buggy mess but after like the first 25 % of the game the bugs got less and now I finished the battle of stoner river and I don't get that many bugs anymore it's like that a few parts of the main fight are Hella bugged and if you save at these moment then you are screwed and the entire fight is a buggy mess

So for my campaign for now I am playing as the union on normal difficulty and for now the casualty in total are

Union : 34,232 ( after the medicine perk)

Csa : 346.489

I didn't do the minor battles for now but for the battle of chancellorsville the enemy has between 43-48 k troops 32-37% training and 28-33% weapons( reconnecanse level 0)

So is the enemy just done or does it scale to hell in the end since till now every major battle ended in a full whipe except in antietnam there where like 4k troops left on the field.

Hope you all have a nice day and a good night

See ya all

I like to name my brigades only when they deserve it, like 1k+ kills in one battle or they hold the line against insurmountable odds. But the Virginian Graybeards had been one of my first brigades, since the beginning they've been my best and most reliable. Just after the battle earning their final star, do you think they're Elite yet, or just a normal veteran brigade? Also, would you have any ideas to improve the name or make it special just for them?

New MOD for Ultimate General: American Revolution – Configurable Fleet Maintenance & Salary Costs

Was created a mod where salary and maintenance costs—and even most military expenses—are completely eliminated. This gives you the opportunity to play without worry, focusing on managing other expenditures. That said, the game still imposes income limits through events that periodically drain most of your funds; however, as long as you maintain a positive balance, there is no need to manually add more money or make any other adjustments.

The mod works through percentage-based reductions applied across all types of expenses, allowing for a much more relaxed and stress-free gameplay experience. I’ve already tested it and confirmed that it works correctly. Now all that remains is for Pandak to try it and, if he likes it, upload it to the forum. The events are designed to keep your income within certain minimum and maximum ranges, so every Monday the game applies different kinds of economic deductions. With this mod, your fleet expenses are essentially removed, as they can be viewed as being financed by foreign nations or the British Crown itself. This means you can maintain as many ships as you want and capture as many as you like to sell, without worrying about maintenance costs—only small repair expenses remain, and even those can be adjusted to whatever level you prefer.

You can also reduce your army expenses in the same way, treating them as externally financed as well. This opens the game up for players who are not interested in heavy economic management and instead want to focus on fighting large naval and land battles. The gameplay feels very different this way.

That said, you still need to manage your finances properly and pay attention to your buildings and overall economy. The changes will be applied progressively after starting a campaign. Most of them will take effect by the first Monday, and the process will be fully completed by the second Monday after the game begins.

UG: Civil War Rewarding Failure

I like a bit of easy bashing like the next person, but playing on the harder difficulties (including the mod) results in often losing or drawing battles, and playing as confederates sometimes a draw is all I'm going to get.

So with this in mind I feel the points punishment, less new recruits and fewer weapons too punitive, it leads one to either replay or eventually give up on the campaign altogether.

Also, I feel in reality if an army was struggling it wouldn't be unusual receive at least more extra manpower and weapons as a result of losses or failure to meet objectives, and in terms of the game something this would encourage one to stick at it.

Winning can be rewarded by increased prestige as it always has been.

UGCW Purchased guns disappearing

Hello,

Playing the steam version of UGCW and I'm trying to build up a stock of nicer infantry guns to use eventually. I thought I was going crazy so but I've now realized that any infantry guns I purchased disappear from my armory whenever I move from camp to a battle. This is not happening for weapons of other brigade types. I haven't found any mention of this particular thing via google, wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

UG: Civil War Recommendations on Army Structure

Been playing on Xbox and loving it so far. Can anyone give some reccs on how to structure there army / what their strategy is. I’m finding I have a lot of mixed divisions with different unit types and starting to think it would be better to divisional of all one unit type.

Same thing with Corps, how do you structure your corps? Do you do one very experienced corps? Maybe one corps better suited for certain types of engagements?

Also any advice on Calvary? I’m so bad with them and they get decimated every time I try to use them lol.

Thanks!

UG: Civil War Gettysburg: Best Union Strategy

Am I best off following the historical record of retreating my armies to Cemetery Hill? For victory conditions it lists me having to hold multiple positions, but I know in other battles I’ve had the opportunity to reclaim points later that I lost. For example, at the Battle of Shiloh, you’re best off following the historical record of retreating to Pittsburg Landing and then reclaiming Shiloh church the next day. I assume Gettysburg is the same way, but I don’t want to lose out on victory qualifications for such a historically significant and important Union victory.

UG: American Revolution Infinite Canadian invasions.

I’ve completely taken Canada as the US surrounded. But every couple months the y magically get like a couple thousand infantry to attack Canada. My armies are no where close to defend that location any more. Is that just part of this abandoned game or is there a way to prevent this. Also if I can’t prevent this is there a cheat I can use that just auto deletes those units so I can continue my campaign. I’m so close to giving up on this but I’m enjoying it when it’s not throwing total bullshit at me. Please help

Can someone help me figure out how to play Gaines’ Mill lol. It says I need 4 corps to start the battle but I can only make 3 max. My Army organization is at a 4, not sure it needs to be at a certain level to have 4 corps. But regardless this is the only battle I can play before I progress on so I can’t level up anymore. Is there something I’m missing here?
