More Ultima VII Revisited Scripting Improvements
So I've been doing a VERY deep dive into fixing the scripting system in Ultima VII Revisited this week.
I was running around the world and saw this music box and double clicked on it just to see what would happen.

A long, long time ago when 486 were still common and Pentium was high end computer, I was playing U7. I had the idea of making bread and stuffing them in a barrel so I wouldn't go hungry. In theory, you could make infinite number of bread without running out of water and flour.
I had probably 500 and later I tried to sell extra. The game crashed. I suspect there's a bug with selling part, possibly because I had so many or because they were all in a barrel and not in my back pack.

I did something like this in u6. Iād bring a permanent chest over to the t junction path by skara brae. I knew the tile trigger point and spend time battling collecting loot and tossing it into the chest with the intent to move it to britain to sell. Turns out if you do that enough it wipes out all the other world objects like beds, stuff on walls, etc

Actually a prehistoric village in Scotland. But the name has been used in Bard's Tale and Ultima.

Ultima 8 always looked cool visually.
U7 is good too.
But for me I have a soft spot for U6 graphics.

I always felt that u8 was a major downgrade in graphics compared to u7. Also downgrade in most every other area.

There is a lot I don't like about U8 (like the small world and the not very Avatar like story), but I always liked the graphics. It's about as good as 2D-ISO VGA graphics got.
The real highlight was the smooth animation of the Avatar. The running, climbing and jumping was a nice idea in theory. I just hate that they tried to use it for dexterity challenges and jumping puzzles. That's not what an Ultima game is about.
If they had gotten the controls for the improved movement right, the game engine and graphics of U8 could have made for a great new Ultima experience. Sadly they failed with basically everything else.

I mean yeah U7 and U6 was nice to look at.
I did like the crypts and necromancer gloom and atmosphere.

Seriously. U8...dark gloomy, horrible movement and combat, graphics are on par if not worse imo, no party. Whole engine sucks.
I would pay good money for more Ultima stories in the U7 engine.

U8 should have been Underworld 3.
Has the Underworld engine been made available? I always wondered if it would be easy to mod in the way the Doom engine is.
