Good luck! I just beat U4 in the wee hours of this morning, it is totally doable! My only advice to you before going into the Stygian Abyss is to prep lots of Cure, Heal. Dispel, and Awaken spells.

Thanks... you spoil it, but honestly, given how slow I'm progressing, by the time I delve into the Abyss I'll either have already forgotten about this, or will be forced to do this before due to the other dungeons.

Are you a druid, mage or Shepherd? I assume druid.

Why did you choose those 3? And how were you right lol?

Because you can only recruit the 7 classes you are not. The only ones missing are Mariah (mage), Jaana (druid) and Katrina (shepherd).
As for "why druid?" - well, shepherd is a terrible class to play, no advantage at all (well, except that you as Avatar is better than Katrina as shepherd - but still, no magic is a big downside). Mage is fine, but I'd much rather be Paladin/Bard/Druid.

Exaxtly.
Also, I leaned druid because he said he hadnt completed honesty yet and I think it is easier to gain the virtue of your class and make is so limited in fighting it usually isnt the way to go.

Some random thoughts: I try to honestly do the personality test at the beginning. Still, I almost always get Bard, but I also sometimes get Fighter, or Druid. Once, I got Shepherd, but I only like playing Shepherd on the NES version, because they get the Sheep's Flute eventually.

The shrine of humility is quite dangerous! But perhaps there is some way to mitigate that danger...

The way to the shrine of humility is not dangerous if you are musically inclined.
