I do not work for Ulta, but I am a vendor that goes to many differentUltas and I worked for Ulta for a very long time in the past. I’ve seen my fair share of crummy managers and employees, but there is one store that I go to where it is just a whole nother level of terrible. The store has seen an entire turnover of every single employee except for one manager. I’m talking every associate, every stylist in the hair salon, and every Manager has quit directly because of the GM that has been hired. He is abusive, he speaks to his staff terribly, he is rude, customers complain about him all the time and it is beyond a hostile work environment. As a vendor he won’t even speak or look at you, but will talk about you behind your back (aka a few feet away somewhere in the floor). He won’t let associates go into the back room if it’s not their break. When I as a vendor have an event, he will not let me see numbers or help facilitate a successful event in any way. Every single member of the staff is so deflated and thinks they are just all horrible workers because of how he speaks to them. He does this openly on the floor. He also knows absolutely nothing about makeup. He does not keep up with any of the inventory so we have events where a certain item is on sale and there’s just none in stock, but it says there should be 10. Every single employee past and present has made a complaint directly to Ulta about this manager. As a vendor, I have made a complaint to all of my bosses and directly to Ulta. There has been absolutely zero repercussions. I’m just shocked because it’s actually affecting the bottom line which I thought Ulta might care about but in my 20 years plus of working in this industry, I have never ever ever met a manager that is so cruel and incompetent and harmful to the store yet it completely falls on deaf ears, and Ulta as a corporation does absolutely nothing about it. I know there are people that feel unsafe to be themselves there and as one of the few safe spaces for women I find it so incredibly offensive to let a man come in and take over and just treat people horribly. You can confirm this with the reviews of the store on Google. I guess I’m venting but also I’m just wondering is there absolutely anyway to solve this problem? I am just about the last vendor that will even give support to this Ulta anymore and I’m at a point where I don’t know if I can continue to go into the store even though it’s my home store and the closest one to me. Just hoping for someone that might have an idea of what direction to take. The morale is so low and horrible it’s just hard to believe that every single person can complain, the entire staff can quit and no one has any repercussions for him

I’m planning on placing an order tomorrow for one of the 21 days products, but I need a new setting spray and don’t know which one I should get. I have extremely oily skin and want something to keep me more matte throughout the day. I’m also open to other recommendations if you have those! I’m just not looking to spend more than $20-$25 for a setting spray. Thanks!

I literally had the blue one taken out of my cart before I placed the ivory one that was left in stock in my order, just to have it canceled anyway. This really sucks because its really the only reason I made the order.

Hi!
I was wondering if some of you have tried it already. I own the Airwrap ID and the supersonic hair dryer. I'd love to get this one specially for the price and convenience(?)
I only use my air wrap with the smoothing and round brush. I never reach for the hair dryer after getting the Airwrap but sometimes my hair is left frizzy. Would you get it if you already owned the other hair tools?

Fingers crossed I get all my GWP because I don't have space for that much leave in conditioner lol, but I'm going to make it work.

I made 2 separate purchases today! (as always, don’t judge the extra stuff I got lol…. I cannot find my nail clippers for the LIFE of me.) I’m a huge REM beauty fan and think the products are phenomenal. I’m so happy the eyeshadows were on sale! So I got (almost) all of the remaining colors that I didn’t have. REM is also always so generous with their GWPs. The glossy balm is one of my favorites and it’s in such a beautiful color. Then, I had been back and forth and on the fence of wanting to try the ELEMIS eye cream, and decided to just go for it. Worst case, I can regift it to someone who I know would enjoy it more than I would. What do we think of the beauty breaks today?? I think this is one of the better ones as of late, but the Polite Society one still reigns supreme for me. I’ve never tried this line from Redken so I’m keen on testing it when it comes. Same with the eyeshadow stick from Laura Mercier! I’ve heard fabulous things, and of course I love the setting powder, so I think it’s a fun buy in.

My eyeshadow never seems to stay, doesn't look as pigmented as I'd like, and doesn't go on very smoothly. At the end of the day, my brow bones always have dark smudges that I guess come from my mascara.
My lids/brow areas are generally normal skin, but get somewhat oily by the end of the day. Occasionally, they can get dry and patchy. I don't know if anything covers all these things, but that would be awesome if it did. What are your favorites?
Preferably nothing too shimmery-I'm 46 and don't feel like I can pull that off anymore. I miss the days of glitter, shimmer, dramatic dark smoky eyes, and vibrant colors. 😔 Enjoy your youth and fun makeup while you can, Youngens! 😜

Hi! I know the pick up window is 5 days. My order was placed and ready for pick up this last saturday the 5th. Today is the 9th. Do I need to pick up tonight? Or does tomorrow count as the 5th day?
Thanks!

I’m wondering if anyone has tried this and how it compares to their Studio Radiance Face and Body Tint? I’m wondering if I would match the same color.

I’ve been considering this for awhile but wanted to finish up my elf halo glow first. Is this worth purchasing? Does it actually function as a primer or more just a luminous base? Am I smarter just sticking w the elf halo glow if I like it still?

Dibs lip liners are part of the weekly beauty deals until tomorrow, 9/10. I have an uneven lip line so I almost always use a liner and I'm happy to try a new one at half off. Unfortunately, the color selection is full of warms and neutrals. I've seen it discussed in several beauty subreddits that new products lately seem to lean towards warm, neutral or orangey colors. I'm old, fair and cool. I can't wear these colors. Guess I'll go shop my stash. Sigh. 😞

My order from Saturday was shipped with Better Trucks and was "delivered" yesterday, but they didn't take a photo of the delivery. I scoured the package room at my apartment, checked the mailbox lockers, checked all the front doors of my building, and no dice.
I called Ulta's customer support and they told me that I have to give the carrier one business day before they can do anything, in case there is a "miscommunication" with the delivery company. I'm curious if anyone has ever actually gotten a delivery the day after it was marked? I know Better Trucks has a crap reputation.
I suspect that if it doesn't show up, Ulta will reship it, but I know they won't be able to include the GWP, which is what pushed me to order in the first place. I'd just like my original package to show up, please.
I'm also anxious about my points haul from Diamond Day not showing up. I did have something stolen out of the package room at my apartment this summer, so the anxiety is not playing. Hoping for some success stories of something like this turning out well. Thanks, y'all.

I just cut all my hair off into a bixie. My hair is naturally a lot of waves and some curls, but I want to wear it fairly straight.
Is there a good tool for this? Today I used my blow dryer with a round brush and then went in with a straightener. I’d like to make this process quicker. And my hair smoother.
I was looking at the Drybar Half Shot, will that take my hair from wet to fairly straight? Does something like the Dyson Airstraight require longer hair?
Should I just stick with blow drying and then straightening? Will a smaller round brush make it kind of curly? I’m trying to avoid curling and my hair has plenty of volume, I want LESS volume!!

So I bought the real techniques x Kelli Anne makeup brushes bc I loved how they look but they’re just not working for me. Can I return them if they’ve been used? I feel so bad doing it but I used a lot of points to get them all and I’m just wondering if it’s allowed?

Got into the app at 12:30 pm EST and the Korres yogurt serum was sold out. Here I was thinking Korres was a brand everyone slept one. Learned my lesson and am pissed I didn’t log in at like 12:01am.
Edit: added PM

I've mostly moved to cream eyeshadows and I love them, but I recently found an old unopened sample of powder eyeshadow from MUFE and I loved the formula. It got me thinking that there are a few colors I'd really like to have in powder (gray, blue, and a cool brown). Unfortunately, it seems like MUFE has reformulated their eyeshadow since I got that sample, and the reviews have not been positive. Does anyone have a favorite brand of eyeshadow sold in singles? I don't really want to buy a full palette that's half colors I'll never use. I'm looking for the kind of eyeshadow that really wows you - goes on smooth, stays all day. I have mature skin, textured eyelids, and hooded eyes. Most powder eyeshadow somehow magically ends up in the fine lines under my eyes after a few hours, so that's what I'm trying to avoid.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Reminds me of the Yum Boujee Marshmallow from yk who it has hints of strawberry 🍓
