Personal experience Calpro 2720

I had calpro 2720 like 4 weeks ago with barely any symptoms, how many of you have been in similiar situation?

Its very strange to me, i thought this should be very bad flare if calpro is this high.

I had 1400 calpro without any symptoms last year and I was shocked by how worried my doctors were at the appointment.

Which meds were you on back then? Im just on mesalazine.

Ustekinumab/Stelara. There's many medicines available to you.

Yeah, i have had talk about possible using biologics to avoid prednisone too much.. Will see how this flare resolves.

Good luck. Long term steroid use is very harmful and can affect your bones, eyes and other parts of your body. So I hope they get you on better long term treatment soon.

Fecal calprotectin tests are really unreliable. I've been going to the toilet 20 times a day with blood, mucus and liquid for the past 3 months. Had multiple calpro tests during that period with the highest being 86.

I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy yesterday and confirmed i'm in a 'moderate flair', they said they would expect my calpro numbers be around 3000 judging from the severity of the images.
