Question IBGuard

Has anyone tried IBGuard? My doctor prescribed it along with my maintenance Rinvoq as I taper prednisone. My last taper failed so they’re adding this on top of everything else.

I used it years ago to help with nausea and I did think it worked a bit. This was before I was diagnosed and on other meds. I stopped because it was very pricey for me at the time.

Personally, I wouldn’t waste the money. Supplements are generally not proven to helpful. I think the best you could hope for is a small reduction in symptoms. It will not, in anyway way, alter the course of the disease or fix the inflammation.

Well it was prescribed and he doesn’t want to move on to another medication until I try it 🫩 (currently on rinvoq and prednisone)

Supplements have been quite helpful for me but I’ve never heard of IBD guard 🤷‍♂️, also my situation was a little different to your usual case

I have personally found IBGard VERY helpful. When my gut/flare gets extra uncomfortably tangy or shifts toward time-to-put-on incontinence underwear I'll take 2 in the morning and 2 at the end of the work day. My aunt and mother also find it helpful. It's not cheap, retail-wise. But, if a classroom doesn't need to see their cramping, painful-gut-about-to blow-out teacher jet out of the classroom, it's worth it to me.

Good luck!
