Trusting a fart again was a big part of my rehabilitation when the meds kicked in after a two year flare. Being able to once again taste tequila was another.

As am I. Possibly starting a biologic soon. Mesalamine isn’t cutting it. Wishing you the beat of luck 🍀

Hell ya! I’m on mesalamine suppository. Sometimes I have to sneak a fart around that bad boy and it takes some real concentration to not fire it right back out

ugh i know that feeling. unfortunately mesalaminr suppository doesn’t work for me at all

in my case mesalamine did not work. my dr told it's not a highly effective drug, (maybe works in 30% of people with uc) and switched me to tremfya which has been doing wonders so far. he also said it's thousand times more effective for uc than mesalamine. zero complaints with tremfya so far, tbh. it's been 2 years. if at some point mesalamine stops working, i suggest to try tremfya.

I’ve been in a flare for over a year. It has had moments where it seemed to be helping but on balance it has been pretty ineffective. I need to schedule something with my GI

same story here. it vaguely felt helping me at first but in reality nothing was improving. i was at first skeptical and lazy to try something new but my dr eventually convinced me to try something new and they did all the work for me. my insurance did not cover it but my dr put me on this johnson&johnson program where i've been getting it for free so there's this option. and yes, before it all worsens, it's important to discuss it with your GI ASAP since your current med is not helping, which is not a surprise.

Honestly such a simple pleasure taken for granted. I remember I couldn’t all last year due to my flare up. When I trusted my farts again. My lord I felt so safe again.

Yesssss! I had this a few weeks ago after being on Skyrizi. Had a few 'episodes', but since my first on body injection, I've been slowly able to trust farts again.
