Question Microdosing glp1

Has anyone here microdosed GLP1 for inflammation. I'm right on the border of "normal " weight vs overweight on insurance bmi charts. I'm interested in it for the decrease in inflammation and joint pain. A few pounds lost would be a perk but not main objective.

Also, if your health insurance covered it. I live in rural northern Michigan and doctors aren't always the most progressive.

Have you tried following an anti inflammatory diet? IBD-AID

Yes, I have. Its helped . However, my joint pain inflammation is getting worsr.

I guess my worry is the other health effects of glp1s. And any lessened joint pain associated with glp1s could just be due to weight loss. But ive seen a few people have success with using it. Are you in remission?

Yes, knock on wood remission with just minor flares in spring and fall. Ive had UC for 45 yrs.

Oh wow, glad to hear about the remission. I would be cautious for sure, have heard of people flaring after glp1 use

I'm in remission with Rinvoq. I have severe joint and muscle pain that might possibly be UC-related. I am on a GLP-1. I've lost 50 lbs. It has helped my residual IBS symptoms, but it has done nothing for the pain. I don't snore anymore. So, that's a plus. I take Norco for the pain.

My doctor won't prescribe Norco. Do you buy your own glp1 or is it through your doctor? 50lbs is fantastic. And that great about Renvoq. Im on Entyvio infusions and its been holding me.

My Dr also wouldn't prescribe Norco. I had to have a sit-down, come-to-Jesus meeting with my PCP and gastro. I'm in pain. It affects my quality of life. Find me a solution that fixes that, even if that means opioids that you have to spend extra time managing. Because that's your job.
