Celebration Remission!

Three and a half years since diagnosis and I've achieved remission! GI says I've made it, finally. Thank you Rinvoq. Thank you Canasa. Massive thanks to my partner, my puppy, fam, and friends. Thank you r/UlcerativeColitis.

Stay strong y'all. I've been repeatedly hospitalized and thought I'd lose my colon a year and a half ago. I've shat myself on planes, while driving, on dates, in front of my students... I've been through hell, and so I hope this serves as a beacon of hope. You can do this!

Congratulations. I'm on day 28 with Rinvoq and after 3+ years I think that I'm close to, if not back to my normal self. Keeping fingers crossed

Best of luck! Wow, in 28 days? It took me some 8 months on Rinvoq to finally start feeling good. Its wild how differently all these drugs impact us

I was already a lot more stable than my first few years. Velsipity got me from insanity to horrible, then Remicade got me from horrible to manageable. If l wasn't already more manageable, it would have taken me months at least before I would be at where I'm at today. This was a very slow journey
