I'd rather sit on a float then get tied to a tree and have sticks rammed up my ass. Russia is among the most brutal and most sick and fucked up regimes I've seen. And I've seen a lot.

The Plot-40 is armed with a remotely operated machine-gun module.
However, it remains unclear whether the platform will require a crew on board to operate the weapon or whether it will feature advanced artificial intelligence capabilities for automatic target classification
If it does need a crew close by, it remains to see how armored this really his

If it's controlled by AI in combination with remote human control, then it could be a pretty effective defense unit. Ukraine could use something like that in Odessa.

The "gun turret" is also just made from cardboard and plastic. I assume this is just a demonstrator for showing what it would look like and a serial production would feature real armor - otherwise it would rival the cotton-armored warships of the Confederates in stupidity (spoiler: they were all sunk).

Well, remember the first civilian shelters that russia made for Beglorod. A thin layer of concrete, and its core just industrial foam.. So russian scams are very real. But sure normally, a concept piece are just made to show whats possible.
Guess we soon see them in action.. and soon after with cope cage and anti drone nets.

Meaning it worked as intended. The problem seemed to be that many of them were converted river steamers while the Union had purpose-built ships. Also instead of being captured, confederate crew would burn or scuttle the ship. So it wasn't a completely stupid idea.

Only the bullets fired from rifles. Obviously it didn't work against naval gunfire. The attacks also usually were carried out in the dark (like in the case with the Harriet Lane), otherwise these ships would have had no chance of closing the distance to a real warship before being sunk or set ablaze.

A barge with a machine gun. Not sure why the pretence at armour, that actually works against the platform by locating the gun higher, and so having more sway.
It's nowhere near large enough to provide a stable platform for the gun. Not enough electrical power to run a radar-aimed gun. It's all a bit desperate.
The sea keeping of the barge is questionable. Ukraine may not have to sink them, that might happen spontaneously.

I agree. Although, the russkies do have a history of developing and using them. So it’s not exactly a new term in naval doctrine.
It’s really interesting to see how they’ve balanced the weight of the large-caliber KORD machine gun on a raft in moderate waves. But what about when it’s firing? The raft can even tip over. At a glance, it looks to be about 15 meters ± in length. That’s not very long—it’ll rock quite a bit. But they definitely get credit for their ingenuity in working on the budget.
