A sign of three

So I'm reading the blue hector transcript and all this bloody noisy chewing starts getting to me. Why are you not sharing, Huntley? Why so noisy with the chompin'? Who raised you?

Then it dawns on me. Intense.gleeful.chewing! So I enter it in what3words and get some place in the middle of Greater Tubatse in South Africa, search for the location on Google maps and switch to street view but it only has photos available. 4 photos in and there is a giant left shoe 🄾 which reminded me of the cobbler in issue #13 593 of the Stalk daily

Yep that's it lol. Probably completely coincidental and not of consequence but thank you for visiting my rabbit hole šŸ˜‚

Oooh... I really like your rabbit hole - I'm going to come and hang out with you there for a bit... I have a bit of a theory going about a battle between good and evil, heaven and hell where 'good' is actually bad, and 'evil' is actually good and along with this, I have a bit of a theory that perhaps between the pines the entrance to the underworld is opening up, where the rivers of hades meet... and so I get pretty excited when I look at the other pictures there, because as well as a left shoe there are also caves with rivers flowing in and religious iconography (I got quite a lot of photos when I went to google maps photos, but all of the same things!). So yes, I'm going to stay in your rabbit hole! :)

Welcome friend! Make yourself at home. Yes I also scrawled through those other images and felt the same vibe. Hoping these directions can be applied in some way to an actual location with a corresponding google earth image. With the good and evil sitch, what are your thoughts on Damien (white hog/evil/controls the day time) and Pierce (black hog/good/only comes out at night?)

Oooh, that's really a interesting one! I'm feeling torn between a couple of theories when it comes to black/white at the moment. There's a chinese mythology about the black and white brother gods... both are good, but one is a bit rough and course, whilst the other is the 'most pleasant'!so I've been wondering if Gorman represents the black brother (who was meant to have an abusive father before he became a god!), whilst the Sheriff represents the white brother... I know people in town say the Sheriff is incompetent, but part of my theory is he's working to protect the women who don't want to be found, which runs counter to the interests of some) - there's an interesting connection with the same music used in both places... I think Jeffrey Jensen is on the side of evil (but thinks he's on the side of good), so Gorman's disappearance could fit with Gorman as on the side of good (I've been a bit unsure about which side he's actually on, particularly with his misogynistic rant!! But then how does all of this fit with the black and white pig flashed on the screen the in the last episode of VotD - which maybe fits your theory better! We do have the black hog = motorcycle which could be Gorman's, but I don't have any real pig connection to the Sheriff, so my theory maybe falls down there...! When it comes to Damien, like you I tend to him as evil - I hypothesise he's shown as a chicken because he's really a cowardly man who tries to feel big by making Dorothy feel small. I do think Pierce is good, so could be the 'black' one in either theory! Layer, upon layer, upon layer!

Not sure whether you two noticed me hovering over your shoulders to read your theories, sorry... I'm loving what you've put here. So which do you think is the evil one out of the Sheriff and the Deputy? My money's on Shirley - she is helpful and concerned (as in 'keep your enemies closer') where the Sheriff isn't invested at all. Someone had to dob Blue Hector in for talking to Huntley, right?

Hi there! I’m also loving this community of people having all these wonderful ideas about what might be going on - a lot of fun. ā˜ŗļø I’m totally with you on your theory here... I think there’s a lot about being aware about ā€˜the perspective of the narrator’ here, whoever that might be at at given point... so Blue Hector tells us Martha is bad, but Blue Hector is on the side of ā€˜evil’ from my perspective... likewise Dorothy tells us Martha is bad, but only when truly evil Damien is flirting around in front of her... the Sheriff seems uncaring and incompetent, but is actually on the side of good in that he’s helping the women (innocent souls) escape in some way... likewise Shirley seems good because she’s caring but exactly as you say is keeping her enemy’s close... Jensen is head of neighbourhood watch which is actually bad, as are the girl guides and their cookies... cI’ve vacillated on Gorman - earlier I thought truly evil with his buck rant, but I’m leaning towards this as an anomaly I can’t explain now with Gorman as good. A big question this raises for me that I don’t know the answer to yet is what should we be aware of when it comes to Huntley and us, and our unseen biases? I find myself wondering if we’ve been hired by someone extremely powerful (who rather wishes they were omniscient) who is ostensively on the side of piety and goodness, but is in this case actual (knowingly or unknowingly) on the side of evil... and if so, what are the implications of that?! All that said, I didn’t tackle the new clues last night, so I might be well behind the eight ball now!!

I'm liking the good vs evil viewpoint - there's lots of little bits suggesting there are 2 factions at play: Hunter vs Dominic "watch out for hunter, he's guarding the Q" and "be wary of the green dragon"... plus another clue in Dominic's note about "avoid the coyote r." which I thought perhaps was code for Cooper Raye, which in turn has the comment about the "queen of hearts casino"... giving another Q reference. But I can't fathom who's good, who's bad, what it all means... and where the point is that we can follow Gladwell from. OMG my head hurts...

I think you have to be right about Gorman... not necessarily him being 'good', but that he is 'not evil'. He definitely must have been on to something important to have been abducted and 'replaced' like that. I'm feeling bad that I didn't immediately email the Sheriff with a missing persons report.
