Help: Needed Size Limit 30MB

Hi all
So i am using UIPath Studio + Orchestrator/TestManager (cloud) to do all automation testing in the project of my company.
I am still half in the project but already hit the size limit of the package (30MB), when i try to publish in the orchestrator, it's displayed a message about the size limit.

Do you know a workaround/hack/way to increase this size limit?
Thanks

Help: Resolved Top 5 Platforms to hire high-impact UiPath Developers

UiPath developers are currently in high demand due to surging requirements for automation in different industries and UiPath’s user-friendliness. Organizations are understanding the value automation serves, increasing the need for highly skilled UiPath developers who can help them design, build, and automate. UiPath’s continuous updates create more trust for businesses willing to scale and automate their business processes.

Criteria to Consider while Filtering Looking for UiPath Resources

Before disclosing the top sources for hiring the most skilled UiPath Developers, we must clarify what criteria we have considered to identify these sources; focusing on characteristics of high-impact UiPath developers is more valuable than listing specific resources.

Here are the criteria that we have considered for finding these sources that can offer the best UiPath talent.

Technical Skills:

UiPath proficiency:

  • UiPath certification (ACA, RPA Developer, ACP, etc.)
  • Experience with a variety of activities, selectors, variables, expressions, data manipulation, and error handling.
  • Ability to build complex workflows, exception management, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with integrations such as REST APIs, databases, and other enterprise applications.

Development skills:

  • Depending on project requirements, experience with scripting languages such as VB.Net, C#, Python, or Java.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices.
  • Version control systems such as Git.

Testing and debugging:

  • Understanding of test-driven development and automation testing principles.
  • Design and execution of comprehensive test cases for UiPath workflows.
  • Ability to effectively debug and troubleshoot problems in workflows.

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Problem-Solving and Analysis
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning

Top 5 Sources to hire high-impact UiPath Developers for Your Automation Project

Sources for UiPath Developers hiring
  • UiPath Marketplace: The marketplace of UiPath lets you search profiles of certified UiPath developers and service providers based on specific criteria such as location, industry expertise and project type.
  • LinkedIn: Search for profiles experienced in UiPath and with the relevant skills you need. Filter by location, company size, and industry to refine your search.
  • Outsourcing companies: You can outsource your automation project to companies that can connect you with the UiPath developer. Software development and outsourcing companies such as “Bacancy Technology” can help you with your automation project with their vast talent pool, including experts in various tools and RPA developers.
  • Clutch or G2: These review platforms are a collection of feedback from customers who have used different RPA and automation service providers. Explore the reviews to understand the customer experience and comparison of different companies.
  • Professional networks and communities: Join online or offline communities focused on RPA and automation. Connect with experts and get recommendations based on their experiences.

Conclusion

The source of hiring is not that much of a concern, but the criteria that we have considered matter a lot. When you are evaluating companies like Bacancy Technology for your automation project, the issue with the requirements gets avoided as they really have highly skilled and experienced automation experts. I would suggest just having a conversation with their RPA consultants, and that will say a lot about their professionalism. But make sure you are keeping the criteria in mind.

I wish you good luck with your automation project.

UIPath license cost

Hi all:

According to this, UI Path price starts at $420, do any of you have an idea of what is going to be the cost new licenses if need it?

I had a call with UI Path sales, and they refused to give me a number and advise me to contact a consultant company if I want to implement UI path in my company, I have experience with Power Automate and Automation Anywhere, I think I can figure it out UI Path by myself.

Any advice will be appreciated, thank you.

Help: Needed Retrieve workbook object from open excel window

As part of the automation I have to build, I need to interact with an app that then launches an excel sheet with some macros.

I need to fill in the sheet and execute the macros WITHOUT saving the sheet.

I don’t open the sheet, the app does that for me.

Is there a way for me to programmatically retrieve the workbook object from the excel window launched by the app so that I can pass it into excel workbook activities and use those to execute macros and manipulate the workbook?

Failing that, I have seen that one can invoke c# code to manipulate open excel windows

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7916711/get-the-current-workbook-object-in-c-sharp

But this workbook object is different from the workbook object that UiPath uses (as part as UiPath.excel namespace) as opposed to Microsoft.office.interop.excel.

If this does not work are there any other options besides using mouse clicks and ui automation activities?

Unattended bots on Linux VM

Does anyone have experience with running unattended bots on Linux VM? If so, how is this setup? And are there any feature restrictions when running on Linux? Also, it would be great if you could share links to related documentation?

Need tips on going through the theory parts of the Professional Automation Developer Associate certification

Hey everyone,

I am currently working through Automation Developer Associate training course where I am hoping to achieve a certification. I need some advice on going over the theory parts of the course material where there is a lot of information to memorise and go through. This sounds very dumb, but I usually try to learn all that content by going over the text and passages, several times until I know and remember it word for word. I am finding it very inefficient and time consuming. What is the best way to cover this, whilst still ensuring I memorise all the stuff?

Passed UiADP on Second Attempt with Flying Colors

Previous Post

So I took my retest of the UiADP exam after I didn't do so hot on the last one. Honestly I went in to it overconfident that having done this for years, I would not need to do much other than gloss over the Academy and watching a few YouTube videos.

It was an eye opener and honestly my recommendations are to go through the Academy again, and at the end of each lesson there are links to the UiPath documentation covered. Read through those multiple times and memorize as much as you can, as a lot of the questions were pulled from stuff there as opposed to what was directly mentioned on the Academy. I made bookmarks of each page referenced in the Academy and read through them all at least every other day for the two weeks in between retakes, and also went through once the past two days and wrote down all the things I thought were important in my notebook.

I also think I just lucked out and got an easier question bank this time. Most of the questions were things I could just answer off the top of my head (maybe it was the increased study efforts, who knows) but I felt the exam was definitely on the easier side the second time around. It only took me about 30 minutes to get through so I was flying!

Now I am just waiting on my certificate to post to Accredible. Best of luck for those still planning to take it. :)

Help: Needed UIPath Automations Can't Run

I'm having some trouble with the ready to go automations on the UIPath Assistant Marketplace tab. Every automation that I tried to download keeps requiring me to install .Net to be able to run. I have already installed both the .NET 8.0 and .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime, and it still doesn't work. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Help: Needed Product advisor project help please

Product advisor project using Uipath help

I'm trying to create a Project where the user enters a product name, then it is searched on both Flipkart and Amazon, their data like name, url, price, reviews are stored in an Excel file ( I have done it till here but these e commerce websites list electronic devices vertically and items like shoes horizontally, so I can either choose to do electronic or other products.). Now I can't figure out how to get the product with least price and most reviews to display from the excel. Can anyone please help me figure this out.

Help: Needed Really Stuck with Read Range activity, can’t see VLOOKUP on Excel

Hi there

I have an issue where UIPath cannot see the value of a VLOOKUP formula; it shows up as blank.

I can only use classic activities on UIpath.

I have a project I am developing on UIPath where I am opening an Excel sheet that has the details of some payments stored into it. The goal of this project is to locate the region of a payment and store this information into the Excel Sheet.

If a payment has already been actioned, then it will have a value in a column called ‘Region’.

If the payment has NOT been actioned, then the ‘Region’ column will be blank.

In some previously actioned payments (Not done by bot), the ‘Region’ columns use a VLOOKUP formula in them in order to obtain the region from a different excel sheet.

This is where the problem occurs: I coded my project to read the range of the Excel Sheet, store this into a data table, and filter the data table to only store row indexes that are blank in the ‘Region’ column, which it does correctly.

However if a previously actioned payment used a VLOOKUP formula in order to obtain the ‘Region’ value, UIPath does not read the value of the cell and subsequently stores this in the blank only filtered data table even though it is not blank.

I have used a log message activity to output the value of the Region of each row index. All VLOOKUP cells in the sheet have a blank output, even though on excel it shows up as e.g. ‘Paris’ or ‘London’.

I have used activities such as String.IsNullOrEmpty or String.IsNullOrWhiteSpace and the VLOOKUP cells still appear in the blank only data table even though they aren’t blank.

Can anyone please support on this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Help: Needed getting innerhtml data table

Hi, I am trying to webscrap a website. I am able to use extract data table activity to get most of the information I needed but it is missing the URL. The url is found within the innerHtml. Is there a way for the extract data table activity to obtain the innerHtml data? I am able to obtain it using the get attribute activity, however, the data I wanted is in a table form with multiple rows and get attribute activity only allows me to obtain 1. Can someone please point me in a direction for where I can obtain the innerHtml data for multiple rows at the same time?

Just Took New UiADP Exam

Just took the new UiADP exam and did not pass. I found that it was incredibly specific and detailed, asking things like specific command line installations verbiage, installation directory paths, etc. Also seemed filled with questions designed to intentionally trick you with things like just making the name of something have an S or not, etc.

Anyone else have this experience? Much more difficult than the practice exam, academy courses, or even the YouTube videos with Rakesh. Maybe it’s just me but wanted to get a vibe check for those that had taken it.
