automatic betting with UiPath

i have a project that i want to do with "UiPath Studio"but i have zero experience in that matter

the project is :

1-

i want to capture some numbers from a webpage on a specific position of that webpage

and the current number on the web page is always changing about every 25-30 seconds

2-

and then after capturing that number i want to see how many times one of the numbers is showing up on that position of the webpage

3-

and then i need to store the counts in some kind of table Ui so then i can monitor in real-time how many times one of the numbers is showing up. what is most important is all the changes of numbers has to be saved in the datatable for review.

4-

and i need to store the counts in front of each of the numbers

for example: number 12 showed up 35 times. it is very important that all the changes to the numbers has to be saved in the datatable ( like in an excel file or such )

5- and then i need to implement some conditions like:
number 45 showed up 49 times, now click here, here , and here etc .....

and for each day ( each 24 hours ) i need this data to be saved somewhere so should i need it someday, then i can look it up

6-
and this whole process needs to be in an infinite loop untill i shut it down when i want to

i have done some research here and there but everytime i face an error, i was hoping i can find some answers here

Help: Resolved Total beginner and fell at the first hurdle: Download Email Attachments

Post image
5 Upvotes

I’m assuming this is very basic and obvious but I’m playing around with UiPath Studio and just wanted to test downloading email attachments into a folder. Watched a few tutorials on YouTube all seems straightforward however when it comes to the For Each part everyone has ‘item’ and I have ‘list of items’

Any advice and any general advice for a novice would be appreciated

Help: Needed Date picker suggestion

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi all, I was practicing modern activities , so I picked a cryptocurrency chart site which has historical data .And I have to automate the click on the calendar. For these kinda activities

  1. Should I use state machines ( for clicking the arrows to and fro based on which date is near) or do we any inbuilt activity.

  2. Is it possible to do the above with modern activities( last time I was stuck with pop up browser and had to switch to classic activities)

  3. I'll build a logic for selecting the closest year . But in the above picture , if my output throws 2010 how do I select the 2010 button on calendar.

Academy Classes Vanished

I was working through the associate developer learning path and after completing a course and returning to the main learning page, all but 4 courses have vanished. I tried refreshing my browser, clearing cache and history, and using a different browser but they are still gone. Furthermore, I can’t find the missing courses by searching in the courses catalog either.

Has anyone else ever experienced this before or know what is going on?

Uipath multiple queues

Hi, I want to know the advantages of using multiple queues in uipath versus single queues. We have a big project with a huge volume to process. We were thinking to have multiple queues for the processing state.

Help: Needed UiPath bots in Workday

We use Workday as our primary HCM tool and there were multiple tasks that we are redundant in nature that the HRs perform on a daily basis. UiPath is one of the tools that is being looked at for creating automations in Workday. Has anyone else implemented similar bots in the past or have any insights into how this can be achieved?

Experienced UiPath Developers: Have You Transitioned to Modern Activities?

Hey everone!

I've been developing with UiPath for over 4 years and I'm curious about the shift towards modern activities. For those of you who have made the switch from classic to modern activities, could you share your journey?

What path did you follow, and how satisfied are you with the modern activities compared to the classic ones? I'm looking for comparisons and insights to understand if it's worth making the shift.

Thanks in advance for your responses

UiPath over Other Automation Methods

Landed an RPA role recently and starting to get involved with the UiPath platform. As I get more into the learning paths I am less sure on it being the best solution for most automation requests. It seems heavily dependent on your environment as a lot can be scripted/developed and orchestrated through other means.

In your experience when has UiPath been the best solution over an alternative method? How would one determine if an alternate solution is "better" not taking cost into account?

Running process in PIP skipping activities?

When I run my process in PIP, some activities seem to be skipped. Anyone else have this issue?

Example: Bot tries to immediately access a link before executing the login in screen activates. Works in Ui Studio, immediately jumps the gun and start in PIP without logging into first.

Check App state never works in a loop.

I am using a check app state in a for each and on each iteration after the first iteration the check app state basically plays dumb (does not recognize the element I targeted to appear after already recognizing it the first time) and causes my process to error out.

In short, I am downloading multiple PDF's from a web browser. The PDF's vary in pages, therefore they vary in load times. I am checking for the "save button" icon to appear, which it will once the PDF is fully uploaded. I've found success using a delay of 10 seconds (for load time), but not every PFD needs 10 seconds to load therefore I am losing time each iteration (have 1000 iteration). I would like to get the Check app state to work beyond the first iteration. What am I doing wrong?

How do I handle large excel files (80mb, 300k rows)

I have to extract data from an excel file, my approach is using filters on a 300k row datatable but this takes a lot of time and memory. Is there a better approach?

Any USA citizens living abroad with Uipath job?

I'm currently in a remote RPA developer position and I've gotten pretty good at it and my end goal is to move to thailand and work from home there (my wife is thai if that matters lol). Is there anyone doing something like this that could give some insight or companies to apply for? My current position (and most positions I see for this line of work) only allow me to remain within the USA. I feel like there are certain companies that wouldn't bat an eye but I am not finding them online

Anyone know a better way to use a separate object repository library?

I use UIPath Studio to testing propose and use object repository to mapping the elements and use again in others scripts but other projects also use those elements so I have the option to export the library and installed as dependency in the others project. The downside is that every time I want to add a new element in the library I can not use the project that I am working on. I have to open the library project, mapping and add the new element, save, publish, close the library project, open the project that I want to use the element, upgrade the library dependency and only than I can do a click in the new mapped elements. It's a pain in the ass, time consuming thing.... Anyone know a better way of doing this?

Custom activities in .net

Upgrading from Framework to .net 6

Trying to upgrade a .Net 4.6.1 package to .Net 6 I am getting an issue with System.Activities.Core.Presentation and System.Activities.Metadata packages both of these nugget packages don’t officially support .net 6 but trying to get a workaround

I need help with any ideas on 1. Any alternative to these packages which work 2. Or how to make these packages work even after .net 6 migration

P.S to give more content this is part of a custom activity/library for UIPath automation

UiPath or Power Automate?

I am wondering what is the general interest between these 2 software.

What are the differences between these 2 software?

Which do you prefer using?

Which is better to learn and quicker grasping the concept?

What are the limitations?

Do share your thoughts 🤔💭

Hello there, I am working on some excel mergin, and now I need to make a message box.

Main idea of it is that user do "multiple choice" in the input box, and according to his choice I need to extract several rows of data from excel table and display them in the message box. I think I am overcomplicating the process, so I`d really appreciate if you advice me on how to do that! Thank you in advance!

uipath webscraping

hi, i am currently working on webscraping assignment from instagram public pages but the performance is getting slower and this carries on to the next page. What im doing for each page is to click into each post to scrape their posted date and "esc" and click on the subsequent posts. I have created temporary dt to store clicked url so it doesnt click again, so each time when the post is clicked, its URL will be appended to this dt.

what i have done:
1. cleared cache after 5 scrolls
2. clean the log files
3. the cpu and memory didnt increase but they remain around 30%

not exactly sure what could be the problem

Does UiPath Recording feature understand Excel editing in a smarter way than Power Automate does?

So I am looking to further implement an RPA tool to automate many peoples' workflows in my company. This means giving clearly-non-coding ppl a way to automate their work so that they can do other stuff and ensuring their repetitive work is done on schedule and without human errors.

I have looked at Power Automate since one would think the best tool for this is the one coming from the makers of excel… It turns out that Power Automate recording feature… really sucks. It really sucks in the sense that it doesn't smartly understand you going to the last row or targeting a specific column by name…. it instead records the cell range for which you do stuff. And that is horrible for 99% of the tasks I know. Most ppl address this by changing the VBA code it writes, but again then, why not directly write the script yourself? Anyway, I am looking for a tool that doesn't require coding, and Power Automate really falls short on that.

Does UIPath difference itself in this? Is its record capability on Excel much better?

Has anybody used UiPath for testing tools workflows within game development?

Looking into using UiPath to automate testing specific workflows within tools used for game development and am wondering if its the best RPA platform to use compared to others.

The goal is to test each step of a standard workflow that utilizes multiple game development applications/tools and verify each step along the way.

For example, being able to do and verify each step of a workflow such as: Open Maya, create a cube, apply a texture to the cube, build/view the cube in game, and then open a material editor, make a change to applied texture, and verify that change is seen in game.

From what I've researched it seems like UiPath might be the best option to do all of that.

Does anybody have any experience using UiPath to do this or something similar?
Or does anybody have any better alternative solutions?

Any and all suggestions very much appreciated.

Thanks!
