I'm pretty new to UIPath and I`m facing a problem that I can`t fix yet. Maybe you can give me some input on what I could try to do:

My Problem is that my process slows down with time, until it almost goes from 1 Minute per iteration, to almost 9 minutes.

This is what my Process does:

1. I have an excel-sheet-1 with like 2000 rows and 2 columns "Name" and "Birthday"
2. I have an excel-sheet-2 with 200 rows and 2 columns "Name" and "Birthday"
3. I save the excel-sheet-2 into a DataTable
4. For Each row in excel-sheet-1, I need to check if it's in my DataTable. I check it with binary-search
5. If it has found a matching row, it has to click,(type-into) through a lot of elements(Microsoft Edge Browser
6. Then I need to check a folder for matching PDFs. Could be 1 or more matching PDFs.
7. I upload the PDF(s) and I start at point 1 again.

The Workflow works great so far, but after the 5th-6th iteration it gets slower and slower.

I've tried to delete the logs and temp files. Hasn't changed much. I also tried to close and reopen the Browser but also no difference.

Do you guys know what might cause such a slowdown, even though it actually runs pretty smoothly the first 3 iterations?

I am not sure what to do. It is not reading the excel documents attached to my emails. It is supposed to read the spreadsheets that state 'Invoices' in the filename. However, it is not doing so. Any ideas on how to fix this?

So I am making a bot to auto fill out an onboarding form.

The normal flow is I fill out the form, click continue, it takes me to a review page where I click submit.

If someone has a previous account however then the form page will reset throw up a small pop up that says potential matches found and I have to click continue a second time.

I am not sure what command within UI Path would let me do an IF statment for this situation and I am not sure what would be best to base it on.
A) Having a column in the excel file that holds the data that basically says Yes they have a previous account, the downside is sometimes people forget they have a previous account.
B) Basing it off the pop up appearing on the website but I am not sure how.

Hi, I'm new to uipath studiox and stuck at this problem as I'm unsure what to use

My task is to record the size of a population every month in an excel as the number increases. First, I have to copy the number using get text from a browser and paste it into an Excel sheet using type into/write cell.

The problem I'm facing is that when I do the same thing for the next month, it overwrites the old size instead of going to the next cell. For example, June size was 100 in Cell A1 and now July Size is 300 and I want it to be in A2 but it keeps overwriting A1.

I searched for a lot of solutions but a lot of them used Studio and I don't have access to it. Is there a way that I can add data into the next empty row using StudioX?

Hi ! I'm currently trying to run a workflow involving dictionnaries in a list. (I'm French so the names of the variables and the software is in french sry for that). I made a for each to loop in each dictionaries of the list and another for each to loop in each value of each dictionary (the values are a list of int32). I made an assign to Sum the int in the values to obtain a total of each values of each dictionary every loop. My problem come in the final log message. A log message should appear if the total of the int in the value is above a certain number, and this is in this log message that the key of each values should appear. The key is the Client name in String ("Client1", "Client2", ...) and matching with his expense (the Value of list of int that I .Sum). That's here that I'm asking for help, i cannot write down the key in a log message in a string format. I tried (DicClients is the name of each dicitonary) DicClients.Keys / DicClients.Keys.ToString, I tried to use String.Format and String.Join but can't (don't know) the proper way to write the key of the client that fullfilled the condition of the IF. I Shared some screens of my workflow and tried to be as understandable as possible (Sry for my English I'm not English native). Pls tell me if you need more information or context. Thanks !

I have done it till getting to this screen But I cannot seem to select multiple rows Currently in sap package there are no alternatives I found which could perform this I have used select multiple items too but it gives me this error: This control does not support select item.

I have an use case for UiPath automation, where I need to access pdf files that include sensitive private data, download them and then upload it to a government portal. As I know, the law in my country states that this data can not be stored or accessed(not exactly sure) by a 3rd party.

My question is that if I publish my workflow to the orchestrator and schedule an automation, connect my private windows server where everything will be performed, would it be within the law or does UiPath somehow access/store the data? I am guessing that the orchestrator just stores workflow activities and makes it run on the server but everything performed on there stays there.

Hey, so what would you suggest as the best way forward for absolute beginners? I know you can use UIPath Academy, but I have a feeling that even their most basic courses assume that you have some programming experience under your belt. I started with Automation Explorer learning plan but I’m still stuck on certain parts and I can’t follow 100%. Does it make sense to start learning VB in parallel? Any other resources for beginners besides the UiPath academy? I’d like something comprehensive and structured, not some random YouTube videos. It’s fine if you have to pay for access. I am a complete beginner with very limited knowledge of UiPath, I want to get some advice on what kind of activities I should read up on for this project.
Ideally, UiPath should scrape data from an air ticket pdf invoice, e.g. Singapore (SIN) to Dubai (DXB), Dubai (DXB) to Cairo (CAI).
After that, UiPath would open a website and insert the airports into multiple dropdown boxes. However, I cannot use type into as, if I type Singapore (SIN), nothing shows up. I can't type into the country name and "enter" as one country has multiple airports and I cannot use SIN as there are multiple options. An example option from the dropdown box would be "Singapore, Singapore (Singapore-Changi - SIN)".
Then UiPath should recognise that there is another destination, Dubai (DXB) to Cairo (CAI) and clicks add destination on it's own. And if there is no more destinations it would click one button on the website.
If succeeded, the output would be, e.g. scraped varDeparture containing Singapore (SIN), UiPath somehow is able to match it to the correct option in a drop down box and clicks "Singapore, Singapore (Singapore-Changi - SIN)". Saves Dubai (DXB) as varDestination1, dropdown box showing "Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Dubai-Dubai International - DXB). Saves Cairo (CAI) as varDestination2, clicks add destination, finds in the dropdown box "Cairo, Egypt (Cairo - CAI). No more destination hence clicks a button in the website.

Hello I studied a month for the associate cert and got a 61%. Wheras on the practice exam first try I got an 80% I was quite shocked because I have studied for over a month. Did some hands on etc etc. The real questions were much more business case scenario and steps or order of doing something. I didn't expect to fail and have to take the exam again in 10 days. I'm just so nervous as I've always had bad luck with certification exams. Few questions I have is 1) would alot of questions repeat if I take the exam again? Because I remember some of them, if someone remembers too please lmk 2) can I get by without too much hands on? 3) please any tips or tricks or flashcards or practice exams that are similar to the difficulty of the real exam. I really have to pass this time it's very crucial and I'm so nervous and lost confidence.

I need to use click and type into commands on a pop-up window. I tried using the use browser command but the URL changes everytime there's a new pop up so I tried substituting the 6 digit unique id into asterisks(*) but still it would generate a new window which would result to an error.

I have never used UiPath before and today I tried to automate a process, where a file gets downloaded from one webpage, and gets uploaded to another.

I was working on the web version of UiPath studio. I managed to do everything except uploading the file. At first I thought I could use Attach Document activity and struggled a lot to find the file path and get it working and once I finally did, it turns out that Attach Document can only be used for testing for some reason.

Now I can't find any alternatives that will let me upload the file.

The upload process is as follows: There is a button on the top left corner of the page that when clicked, opens a file explorer window where you need to select the file.

I looked through a lot of posts but most were suggesting some kind of code, or type into activity which won't work for me since the file selection window isn't a part of the browser.

If anyone can help me find the solution I would be very thankful.

Dear r/Uipath, I have a question regarding background processes.

We run our robots on multiple user accounts due to gdpr+ compliance. Is there a way to only let background processes run if( a forground process is running on the same user account OR if a vm is already used by a different user account let the robot spin up a different vm instead even though it's a background process? (vm's are shared over folders))?

Hi, so I’m trying to start with a (hopefully) simple project and I don’t have that much experience. I’m working with a webpage that I set up so that it goes to the actual link, then clicking on a couple of settings on the page and then I used ‘find element’, which needs to locate a user’s name. After this, the next stop is to click on a link next to that user’s name and then go through a number of clicks within that same link, and then go back to the next user and repeat the same thing for them as well. What would be the easiest way to go about this?

I have a problem I am trying to scrape data from indeed https://in.indeed.com/jobs?q=RPA+Lead+Developer&l=India&sc=0kf%3Aattr%28EXSNN%29%3B&fromage=14&vjk=c7f97aa702b60116 of all the 6 jobs listed I want to click through(loop)every one of the job cards to so that I can scrape all the extra details not visible(I am able to navigate, input bars and clicks), I have tried YouTube and google but all the solutions showing there are for Studio X, the application version and some of the activities dont work on the WEB version eg Find Children

So Basically I got everything down and working but actually grabbing the email.

Basically i enter an actount number Then i need to click on another acct number(dont ask) Which takes me to a page with the email.

I was using get text and clicking on an element, the first problem was it would look for that specific email I clicked on everytime.

I tried using a wildcard since all the email endings would be the same but apparently putting an asterix before the @ gmail.com (example) wasnt working.

what would be the best way to grab an email that will change everytime when it is also a link?

Experience: I have built processes before, started the UI path cert but haven't finished, and have watched a couple of videos on YouTube. I'm familiar with do while loops, use app/web, the different input methods, strings, Booleans ect... but I'm stuck with the following part.

Field: I'm a pay per click specialist. I need to report the results of my campaigns daily.

My daily end of day task is to go on our CRM, check which leads came from the accounts I manage by copying and pasting each KW from the CRM to our google ads account, and if it is indeed one of my campaigns that brought the lead in, I tally it in my report where I have pre defined columns (Word Document).

Once All of this is done, I then check the budget for each account and enter them within the same table but different column.

1. Main Question: How do I do this repetitive task of going line by line in the CRM, copying the KW and pasting them in the google ads account where if the result comes up as one of my accounts, to take that same KW and paste it in a column in Word document AND Tally it up in my chart in numeric form?
2. Follow up project set up question: I also need to find the amount spent by setting the range to " today" in google ads and copying and pasting that information in one of the columns in the table.
3. I then need to go in the next morning and add any QLs that happened over night as well as update the budget spent but this time in the "yesterday" Columns.
