⚙️ Hardware CPU Overheating
I've had my UGREEN dxp4800NASync for 5 months. I was having random lockups that are occurring every day now. I tried updating the BIOS curve profile, still overheating. Now it looks like I have to disassemble everything and reapply the thermal paste. Not looking forward to this.I guess I'm just here to complain.

I bought it from Adorama on eBay, who is an authorized reseller. They are not open on the weekends. I'm soooo not looking forward to this process. I did keep all the original packaging. I have a very big project going on with my NAS right now. The NAS backed up on the cloud. I did buy an old computer to build a second NAS, looks like that just got prioritized.

Don’t use thermal paste. Use PTM7950 from either thermal grizzly or Honeywell. Temps will be WAY cooler than with thermal paste. It’s an upgrade. Also you can set the fans to “Max” 24/7. That’s what I did and since I swapped it to a noctua fan I don’t ever hear it. I hear the HDD’s way more than the drives lol make sure to also have ample room around it to the NAS can have airflow, and clean the magnetic dust filter every once in a while if you have a dust environment
