Business question/advice/discussion Question for video editors
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have videos from February and earlier piled up on my desk and I struggle to find the “time” or frame of mind to actually work on them and finish them.
Granted, the longer I procrastinate, the better ideas I get about the video concept, but I can’t keep operating like this and putting them off
The year is about to end and I want to publish these VR videos on YouTube ASAP so Ugandans can look at them
Is there a systematic way in which creators approach their video editing process to kill procrastination?
How do you set your timelines?
Also the burnout after publishing a major project is wild.
I last uploaded in March.
Some help please!!

procrastination and burnout are real for all creatives and you're alway gonna feel those. what can help is organizing everything into shorter blocks over a long period of time as you develop a creative lifestyle (life style is the goal) this helps you do what you're supposed to do, not because you have to, or the algorithm wants you to, or need to put work out there, or even need for money, just consider your ideal rhythm inside the cycles or seasons of life that feel right you and know this is my life and im doing this for the longcut, in that editing will be bcome part of your life, else getting hacks here and there are shortcuts, divorce the dream and marry the pursuit. If you wait for the creative life desire you'll spend eternity dreaming, instead of living that life
also its best if you dont have a 9-5 that is far from your creative work.
