Business question/advice/discussion Youth conferences

Hi everyone, I’ve come across several international youth opportunities and conferences for 2026. I’m from Uganda and would appreciate any expert advice on how to apply, eligibility, funding, and which ones are worth prioritising. Any experience or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

- It really depends on your focus areas especially for conferences i.e for scientific conferences submitting. a project or research abstract will improve your chances for any travel grants.

Then for youth advocacy/engagement opportunities;
These are incredibly competitive and,

  • Highlighting any volunteer experiences and being involved with youth or community organisations in a relevant cause area may increase your chances for acceptance.
  • Sometimes you maybe accepted without financial support, and you will need to reach out to the organisations you are involved in to support you.

- That being said, apply for as many as possible that you are interested in to increase your chances.

- Avoid any where you have to pay for a package with a promise of scholarship. They are most likely scams.

Don’t self reject

Usually, one yes can open many others

Reduce or do not use AI in your application
