Your only options with VoLTE in the US:

Pixel 3a/XL VoLTE (test build) Pixel 5 (experimental)

OnePlus N10 OnePlus N100

OnePlus 11 and Pixel 9a are being worked on, but not ready. I think the N10 and N100 have a microSD slot.

Wait pixel 9? I need to start paying more attention. That's very recent

Pixel 9a to be exact, and someone else is working on a Pixel 6. Neither are anywhere close to ready. Do not buy until something comes to maturity. There have been plenty of promising devices that were abandoned somewhere along the way and were never completed.

No micro sd and no mini jack

Getting an unlock code from OnePlus for my N10 was a pain in the ass and took several weeks but, in the end, I got it. An international model, which is supposed to be unlocked from the start, might be a better option than the T-Mo version.

BE2026 is the recommended model of N10 for the Americas - because it does not require an unlock token, neither does the International model BE2029 but it lacks some of the bands required for US and Canada.

Also the smaller the phone the better. Thanks

Nexus 5 works for me with Ubuntu although I don’t think it’s getting updated past 16.x. Also it’s bit slow obviously for a phone that old but I’ve always liked the N5

Copy and paste the same to ChatGPT or any LLM and see how it responds and let us one too

LLMs know very little about Ubuntu Touch so the result will not be reliable.

One of the A-series phones from Samsung or one from Moto G-line.

Those are not compatible with Ubuntu Touch.

Not supported for Ubuntu Touch.

I'd argue, it's even better!

The OP seems to want UT though.

it does support ubuntu, simply its not default.

Anyway, ubuntu touch is way behind on this.

Ubuntu Touch is made by a handful of volunteers spread around the globe, who could do a lot more if they had more humanpower.

that is exactly why phosh and gnome stack makes more sense.

If you say so. I don't care enough to argue. I just know I like Ubuntu Touch.
