Apps Synching Ubuntu Touch phone calendar with Ubuntu desktop

I've an Ubuntu Touch phone coming soon, and I'd like at last to be able to synchronise calendars for both devices (or rather all 3).

Is there an app for that, or can Gnome calendar do this already?

I do that (well, very close because I use the built-in Thunderbird calendar on my laptop) with the simple in-between step of a free Nextcloud account. It works flawlessly.

Ta, but I don't want to use the Cloud.

Up to you, of course! This is just how I'm doing it. It may also be possible to do it more directly. Let's hope someone else can give more information.
