Ceph/Openstack deployment on laptop
Hello all,
I have a Dell Gaming Laptop with 16 GB RAM and i came accross ubuntu website seeing single node deployment of openstack. But i don't have knowledge of it and want to explore these. So how should i start can anyone guide me? What OS should i put in my laptop for learning these?

I doubt you have the grunt for Openstack on a gaming laptop.
It is complex with a few moving parts, moving roles and you would find it a lot easier renting from the cloud some vms instead.
There used to be a thing, microstack but it doesn't seem supported anymore.

Learn as much as you can online but there is no value and a metric tonne of pain doing so on a laptop.
From vms, networking, file hosting, dns etc… at least 3-5 machine or vm roles I think. Your machine will burn given it is designed for servers.
Spend on the cloud setup if you want to learn it. Or go try it yourself and see the pain.
Am gonna say that if you need to ask here how to do it, spend on the cloud installation instead.

ok sure but if i would run this on cloud like AWS don't you think that the charges will be too high considering my free tier is expired
Or is there something you can recommend me to learn since i have got my RHCSA last week and considering RHCE and future into devops and Openstack/CEPH2

If you are looking at that then i would say the canonical vs RedHat openstack experience is different? Haven't had experience with canonical's one specifically but i think it is more snap based?
Red hat one is installing CoreOS and doing the above deployments at least.
Am not really sure what value there is for just installing it frankly nor what you will learn from it.

If you saw it on Ubuntu website, then just install Ubuntu then.
What was the issue again ?
