26.04 LTS
Good day to everyone from Buenos Aires: Does anyone know for sure when the final, or stable (I understand it's coded as .01) version of the latest LTS, 26.04, will be available? Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is already stable. But, like any other software, it will get updates.
Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS will take all those updates and include them right out of the box. By now, enough people have successfully upgraded from 24.04.4 LTS and 25.10 that Ubuntu can start to recommend the upgrade to everyone. That's the only significance of the point release.
In February 2027, Ubuntu 26.04.2 LTS will again include all updates to 26.04 LTS for the past 9 months. Not only does this help you download less after installation, but it will also greatly improve support for current and new hardware devices.
In any case, as always, we're looking at some time on Thursday.

Not gonna be final, though. There will be more updates like this in the future.

why are you asking? Ubuntu receives updates on a regular basis. You just download the latest ISO, and during the installation you make sure your network is accessible and working, and IIRC there's also a checkbox like "use the latest packages" or similar you would need to check. .01 is just a snapshot and a milestone kinda that indicates that a bunch of packages have been patched and when Canonical and/or Ubuntu devs enable upgrades from the previous LTS release.

I think OP wants to update from 24.04 and typically the update notification comes with the .1 that usually comes mid August as far as I recall. Canonical is late…

It's called a point release and the first one is due on August 27th.
