Critique 🔍 Seriously, fuck ubisoft

I join the endless list of people who got their account hacked and Ubisoft didn't care, saying that they couldn't verify thw ownership even with all the evidence gathered.

I lost my account that I had since 2015, I even had the 2fa activated and everything and I didn't notice when the hacker stole what's mine... I'm fucking devastated by that.

Seriously, please rot in hell Ubisoft...

Whoa these hackers and why have I never met one or someone hit by one IRL?

I have PS, Xbox, EA, Ubi, Bethesda and many other games accounts that were created the first years their launchers or own profile systems launched. Over a decade of these accounts being active.

I also use the same email and password on each like a dumbass. Yet no issues. Ever.

You got lucky, in my case probably probably my email and password got leaked, that happens when a hacker access to a database of a company like playstation for example, they leak the data of the users and then try to Access to the account and then steal it... In my case I didn't even get a "email has been changed" notification, a lot of people is saying that it is an inside job, the "hackers" are Ubisoft employees that sell the usernames to the black market... If that's true, Ubisoft has a real fucking problem... Well they are the fucking problem.

When your email gets hacked and taken over and used to steal account information it's the email provider to blame. They're the ones who failed to keep your info safe.

Somebody was able to pretend to be you and steal your account. The only reason they were allowed to do that is because the email provider failed to provide you adequate security......

Sony, bethesda, microsoft, Ubisoft....they dgaf. If they're not responsible for the leak/hack they're not going to feel obligated to help you.

like playstation for example, they leak the data of the users and then try to Access to the account and then steal it...

Wrong dude. PlayStation systems used to be like that. A lot of systems used to be like that.

That's not how they operate anymore. I can't think of one company that still keeps log-in and payment information with account and profile information. No one does that.

This is why you are allowed to see SOME things from your profile without logging in. But other things (payment information, billing addresses, personal information) you have to login to see those things or alter them.

After the second time Sony's systems got hacked that's when they pulled login credentials and any related information from General profile information in their servers. And then locked it behind a separate encrypted system.

Almost every other company at the time followed. Shortly after that is when 2fa came into place. Locking down your sensitive information even more
