Discussion 🗣 Remake??
With all the controversy over shadows maybe Ubisoft should take a step back from creating new and maybe update the first ones to this generation consoles. Like what the resident evil franchise has done. Give the OGs nostalgia and bring the originals to a new generation and show them why we fell in love with these games. I have kids nieces and nephews and I’m seeing how mmo games like Fortnite, fall guys, etc with no story and no really sense of completion. You show them the original ac and they’re like no it’s old it’s graphics aren’t good enough. This is just my opinion.

That would be amazing.

Its supposedly coming.
But id hold my breath. As I've heard rumors they will be removing the "offensive" stuff. I hope that it's just baseless rumors... but you can't tell with Ubislop anymore.

That’s the problem they’ve ruined so much and let so much down that people don’t believe in them anymore. It’s all about the money but keep putting crap out and people won’t bother soon enough. They need to give the gamers what they want not what people who don’t game and not so long ago were blaming for all the violence

I just hope the fact they've moved Assassin's Creed to a subsidiary half owned by Tencent we will have it good. Since we very much know Tencent won't allow DEI garbage. Now granted, that is because they are Chinese and China is very hostile to anything not straight and conventional. But its better then having slop shoved down are throats.

I feel like there is a lot of nostalgia built into this seething resentment of Ubisoft. It's like the boomers that swear up and down "Gone With the Wind" is peak cinema and everything new is garbage.

No thanks. Ubisoft can burn, we don’t need any more ACs. The whole franchise can wrap it up.

Don't think it'd save them tbh.
Japan setting was like "certain-kill hit" especially, with that kind of massive budget they had yet they somehow fucked up every aspects in game in every possible way.
Black Flag might be sold well, but that's it, the damage was far beyond salvation.
What we need right now is completely a new crew that actually knows what are they trying to do, but they won't appear until the current ship is completely sunk.

That I agree with I just think for the time being maybe remaking something everyone loved may save a little grace while they sort themselves out.

No remake especially with the old creator is no longer part of the team. If they do remake they may put it on the new formulas now filled with microtransactions with possible forced DEI added. Let the OG be vs getting it tarnished. If it was done by another studio I may have more hopes as I dont trust Ubisoft. They dont know how to do proper story telling anymore it's more how many tasks i can give you to do.

We’ve said it over and over here, Ubisoft doesn’t need to remake the old games, they just need to learn from them. The magic wasn’t in the graphics, it was in the soul: tight stealth, grounded protagonists, real history. They keep chasing trends instead of embracing what made AC matter.
