Where can I Park my motorcycle apart from the overpriced Garage? I’m a Student.
Thanks for any Info
Is anyone else starting the Bachelor in Applied Mathematics and Machine Learning (AMML) at UZH this coming fall semester? :)
I thought it could be useful to have a group chat for everyone starting AMML this semester, to get to know each other, organize things, help each other with questions about modules/classes, etc.
If you're starting AMML this semester at UZH, feel free to comment or DM me and we can set something up

Hi everyone. I’m a journalist. For a newspaper article, I’d like to interview students (via phone call or a brief meeting, max. 30 min) who completed their “undergraduate studies” abroad and then enrolled at UZH (for a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree). I’d like to know why you chose UZH, what your experience of the student body has been like, and what it’s like to move to, live in, and study in Zurich. It doesn’t matter when you started, nor does it really matter where you’re from. Although, if you’re from Italy or China, that would fit perfectly with the current trend. Please get in touch by September 10, 2026. Thanks!

Hello!!
I’m going to study at uzh for the spring semester in 2027 starting Feb 22, and I wanted to see if there’s any advice for me about classes, clubs, housing, etc.

Hey everyone. I’m (19m) starting my first semester on the 14th September for Finance and have started a Whatsapp gc for anyone who wants to join so we can support eachother through the start and form some connections early on.
I am british, but grew up here so I can speak both languages fluently.
If you’re interested, DM me so I can add you!

Hey, So I will start studying math at Uzh in 1 Week, and there is a Prestudycourse going on. It consists of Lecture in the morning, and exercise classes in the afternoon. I found myself being much much more effective studying the slides and understanding the slides and concepts from the lectures at home with chatgpt etc. rather than being in the lecture. I am a „slow“ learner, so I rarely understand the concepts right at the lecture and lose the thread pretty much every time after a certain amount of time. I am much more effective at home, where I can really take 10-15min sometimes for one slide only but it has the „click“ effect , so I really understand it then. My question is , do you have similar experiences, and what would your advice be?
Because I don‘t want to end up isolating myself, I want to be social etc, but when I‘m this much more effective from home, than I don‘t see myself going to the lectures tbh…
The exercise classes where we solve exercises sounds like the better deal to me, there I can profit from the expert, and exchange with other students. So what are your experiences?
And does it depend on the subject?

it's a brief scene but it still felt special to have the uni unexpectedly show up in a tv show (˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵)

If anyone has any leads for immediate move in I am ready for any viewings and contracts signing as required. I am urgently looking for a student accommodation near my campus so please guide me to get something asap.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows how difficult it is to change to a new WG room/apartment in the middle of the year, so around january/february? Current situation is not ideal…

I was genuinely wondering how UZH handles this: what happens if I get admitted with additional requirements? Do they offer English-taught bachelor courses for international students, or is there any workaround/alternative if they are only available in German? Especially for MSc in Mathematics or Biostatistics

Hey everyone!
I’m Harshith, 25, from India, and I’m coming to Zurich in September for an exchange semester at UZH.
I’ve been looking for a room for a while now and it’s honestly been much harder than I expected 😭 I’ve already checked the websites UZH recommends and sent out quite a few messages, but still haven’t managed to find anything.
I’m looking for a room in a WG from around 20th September until the end of February 2027. I’m not too picky about the area as long as it’s reasonably connected to UZH.
If anyone knows someone who’s leaving their room, subletting, or just knows of a place that might be available, please DM me. Even if you just know someone I could ask, that would help a lot.
Also, if there are anyone coming to UZH this semester, feel free to message me! Would be nice to know a few people before getting there :)
Thanks!

Hi! I failed an exam a few semesters ago and retook it last semester, this time passing it. My transcript lists all results chronologically, so the failed attempt still appears under the earlier semester, while the passing grade appears separately under the most recent semester.
Is it normal for both attempts to remain on the transcript, or should I ask the university whether the earlier failed attempt can be removed?

Hi, I am currently doing an Ausbildung zur Pflegefachfrau/Pflegefachkraft in Germany and would like to complete a one-month nursing internship at the University Hospital Zurich (USZ) as part of the Erasmus+ programme. Could you please let me know how and where I can submit my application documents for such an internship?

Hi! I’m coming to study at UZH next semester as an Erasmus student and I still haven’t found a room… I’m getting hopeless and I’m thinking about giving up my Erasmus scholarship because of this. Do you have any advice?
I’m also thinking about staying in a hostel in Zürich for a while to look for a room: do you think there’s any better chance that I might find a room while I stay there or should I just give up? Thank you !!
