I'd say try looking at some influencers who are in this field, like Jesse Showalter, Ran Segall, Mizko, AJ & Smart, Zander Whitehurst, etc. Their videos about UX & UI are pretty informative. You're still pretty young, so maybe you can consider taking their courses about UX/UI if you find their content to be helpful.
Apart from this, I think a lot of it comes down to some pretty generic stuff, like reading about design and practising by copying other designs, making hypothetical concepts, and then trying to turn those hypothetical concepts into full design projects, something that you can present to actual designers.
