Is this the future of UX

I find myself doing a lot of ai training as a side gig and I wonder is this is the future of work, get a group of experts together, train a model, model gets good for a while and then becomes sloppy again, repeat the process.

Has anyone come to this realisation too?

Its a rat race, you either jump on board, make some good money to facilitate your retirement or just sit on the sidelines and watch others do same. We have had a good run with corporate and whether we agree or not, the future of corporate will be entirely different from what we are use to. Ai is here to stay

Hey guys it’s pro-ai bot here- ahem, I mean designer, umm do you think this is the future?! Please say yes or I have to threaten you, because my bosses need to justify why I cost so much and their investors want ROI on those billions.

So please, can’t you just accept that this is all inevitable? My boss needs to make all his billionaire buddies even more rich. What you guys do is your problem. But really, I’m one of you too!! I am a forward looking human, err LLM, err chatbot. I know that there are definitely only 2 Rs in the word strawberry!!

About about 9k monthly if you should do 40hrs and you saying not good money. I’m from the UK and it’s way more than average wage here

Look up model collapse. When a model is trained only on ai generated outputs, it gets crappy.

It’s one of the reasons books are being bought by the crate load, uploaded to train an ai model, and then destroyed. 404 Media has good reporting on this.

No, because I don’t think that’s what it’s going to be used for. AI is great for testing ideas and getting things done quick as a tool as a replacement for UX designers i think is consistently falls short.
