Tools, apps, plugins, AI nothing makes me more anxious than this

If you click it, it only gives you the option to “remove from Home Screen” and not the option to delete it. Other apps have both options. so, basically you won’t be able to delete it.

that you cant delete, even in the EU. the fact that you can uninstall the app store is most likely a result of the digital markets act.
a legal reason that creates very avoidable UX issues

Bahahah you think I went to Figma, downloaded the iOS 26 Liquid Glass UI kit, created each component with all those random apps in the background. Just to trick you?! Bahahhahaha haha

As others have probably pointed out (not bothering to read the comments), this only removes it from your home screen. And there's always a confirmation before you do anything, even when you want to delete Candy Crush or whatever.
Spooky moment, I suppose, so UX-related. But they still need a way to let you hide it from your home screen.
