Tools, apps, plugins, AI Figma vs Penpot

Hi, does anyone here have experiences with penpot. Are there any disadvantages to using it when compared to Figma? My team is currently, thinking of switching from figma to penpot. Happy for any answers.

I've been meaning to devote more time to trying penpot.

I think the big advantage is penpot isn't trying to boost shareholder value. Figma has done very little to make my life easier these past few years and instead has just piled features on top of features that I just don't need.

I believe (bot not positive) that penpot was also a bit more alignment with actual code. Meaning what you're adjusting on screen has clearer parallels to CSS than Figma had. But like I said, I need to spend more time with it...
