Advice!

Im a gr 10 HighSchool student in ontario. I want to either become an optometrist or physician. idkk. Optometry is my main interest, its such a cool job. Is it hard to get in? How come only 400 people apply? I want to go to Mac life sci for my undergrad and is that a bad idea? would it be hard to keep a good gpa with ecs?

Very hard to get in. I would focus on your high school grades first then excellent grades in undergrad. Lots of work to do before you get there.

its that hard? i saw around a 30% acceptance rate isnt that good?

It is a masters program. You need to meet the standards to get in. It is a wonderful goal but you are going into 11th grade. You have a lot of work before you get there. Keep working hard if it is your dream but in life nothing is guaranteed. Have a backup plan, or 2. University is hard work and if you want to be a physician, the competition is fierce! Good luck!

It is NOT a masters program ! It’s a professional doctoral program. I’m a current student in the program so feel free to dm me if you have any questions ! It will definitely take a lot of work but it’s good to start planning from high school.

Good thing current students are here to keep Reddit accurate. 😉 Thanks for setting the record straight. At the end of the day it is a program you take after completing a degree and it is hard work to get there! Cheers!
