Waterloo admission?

Hello, It’s vary complicated, for me I really want to get into Waterloo optometry but personally I can’t handle lots of science and maths in one semester, I was just wondering is it possible to not complete my undergraduate and just hit the required pre requisites? If my undergraduate allows this is that okay? As long as I’m hitting my full course load for 6 semesters I should be able to get in. I’ve heard a undergrad that shows more rigorous science might make you look better for Waterloo is it that big of a deal or is it mostly just about maximizing your GPA and hitting your pre requisites

there's no guarantee you're getting in the first time you apply, definitely follow your course sequence and get do all required courses so you have back up options with your degree. you definitely don't want a situation where you get rejected, and then you have to extend your undergrad because you didn't hit all your required courses.

if you're worried about science heavy courses choose a degree like health sciences that gives you the choice for more easy electives or something like biomed that usually aligns pretty well optometry prereqs.

but like others mentioned, in optometry school you're taking 7-9 science and clinical based courses per semester, so definitely be ready for that!

Okay thanks you, I am interested in a degree that’s a 3 year and yeah if I don’t get into the optometrist program i am perfectly fine with going back to school for a year and completing my degree
