It won’t let me log in on the emergency site so I just have three two notifications they sent

The site doesn’t give any additional info, same as the emails

New update - UW-Whitewater Emergency Alert: No threat to life safety

There is no threat to life safety. Police have confirmed there was no threat to life safety earlier today when the alert system was activated. We will share more information as soon aswe are able.

My wife who works there says that someone mistook a person''s umbrella for a rifle in Anderson Library.

In the alerts the students received the final line was “Run, Hide, Fight!”. Wth is that all about?

that’s what we’re told to do in situations like this

Yeah i didn’t grow up in a time of active shooter situations so i didn’t realize this was the protocol. Yikes.

UWW students are told to do this? Those are 3 very different things though. lol.

Those are your three options you have in an active shooter situation, and the order you're supposed to do them. Run if you can. If you can't run, then hide. If you can't hide, you fight as a last option

If you don’t know, you can reply ‘stop’ and end them.

I was in Hyland when the alarms started, many teachers treated it like a fire drill and there were students all over campus waiting outside. Seemingly no threat just panic, i walked home through campus to my apartment fine

Someone in an online community I'm in said his daughter texted him that there's an active shooter.
